Some important technical information:
Participants compete at a location designated by their home country.
- There must be a non-participating principal ("Coach") on the venue to ensure that the Competition is conducted in accordance with the rules.
- Coaches can be assigned by the association of the host country.
- Coaches must inform the tournament organising committee of the details of the venue by 10 July, including the list of players at the venue, the number of surveillance cameras (see below), the name of the coach and the coach's email address.
- A networked computer with the same number of players must be prepared at the venue in order for the game to run smoothly.
- The arena should have one or more devices (phones, tables, etc.) that display live video of the arena. Must be used during the event, and breaks are free to choose.
- Surveillance cameras (e.g. placed on a tripod) must be installed so that all players on the field can be clearly seen during the game. One camera can cover multiple players.
- While using the tournament platform (vint.ee), we will use Microsoft Teams (https://teams.microsoft.com/) to connect all videos together.
-Putting together videos from all the venues makes it easier for everyone to connect with friendships, increase the atmosphere of the competition, and judges can better understand the scene.
Regarding the use of the chessboard with the computer, the main purpose is to avoid staring at the monitor for a long time, and there is a chance to look at the chessboard. Of course, the coverage of the camera must include the board. Players using the board must first land on the playing platform, and then they can copy the same moves on the board, of course, chess game analysis on the board is not allowed.
