The prototype of Princess Lan Qi'er in the Kangxi Dynasty, Princess Gulun Rongxian

author:History of those things last

Hello everyone, I think everyone should have seen the TV series "Kangxi Dynasty" starring Chen Daoming, in which he played the Kangxi Emperor, and Lan Qi'er was his favorite daughter. Today I will introduce you to the historical Princess Lan Qi'er, that is, the third daughter of the Emperor Gulun Rongxian Princess, and I will introduce her life in detail to you next.

Princess Gulun Rongxian was the third daughter of the Kangxi Emperor, and her mother was Princess Rongfei Ma Jia. Speaking of Concubine Ma Jia, I would like to briefly introduce you to the palace she entered in the fourth year of Kangxi, and after entering the palace, she was still quite favored, especially during the twelfth to sixteenth years of Kangxi, she basically gave birth to a prince every year. But unfortunately, only one son and one daughter survived the five sons and one daughter born to Concubine Rong. Are you very curious, why is Princess Rongxian only out of the house but was crowned princess of Gulun? (According to the Qing Dynasty system, only the daughters born to the empress could be crowned princesses of Gulun, while the daughters born of other concubines could only be named princesses of Heshuo) There is a saying that although Princess Rongxian was the third daughter of the Kangxi Emperor, because the eldest daughter and the second daughter of the emperor died one after another, Princess Rongxian was the true eldest daughter of the emperor, and none of the three empresses of the Kangxi Emperor gave birth to princesses, so the eldest princess Rongxian was promoted to princess of Gulun. There is also a saying that the Kangxi Emperor crowned Princess Rongxian to comfort Concubine Rongxian, who has been losing her son, but I feel that this speculation is not very accurate, because Princess Rongxian's children basically died in infancy, but Princess Gulun Rongxian was promoted in the forty-eighth year of Kangxi, so I feel that the canonization of Princess Gulun Rongxian does not have much to do with Concubine Rongxian. (If you feel that there is anything wrong with what I said here, you can tell me in the comment area)

Returning to the point, we began to formally introduce Princess Gulun Rongxian, who had been favored by the Kangxi Emperor since she was a child, and when she was nineteen years old, she was officially named Princess Heshuo Rongxian, and in June of the same year, she married Urgun of the Borjigit clan of the Bahrain Ministry. Urgun had a remarkable family, and he was the grandson of Princess Gulun Shuhui (the daughter of Empress Xiaozhuang and Emperor Taiji of the Qing Dynasty). Moreover, Urgun himself was also very good, he was witty and brave from an early age, good at riding and shooting, and at the age of twenty he participated in the famous Battle of Ulan Butong (a war between the Qing Dynasty and Dzungars) in the history of the Qing Dynasty. It was also because of this war that the Kangxi Emperor was impressed by Urgun, so the Kangxi Emperor married his daughter Princess Heshuo Rongxian to him the following year. Although the grasslands were no more prosperous than the capital, Princess Heshuo Rongxian was still very happy, and she had a very good relationship with Urgun, and gave birth to a son and a daughter after marriage. Urgun also inherited the title of King of Zasak Doro County in the 43rd year of the Kangxi Dynasty, because Urgun followed the Kangxi Emperor on many expeditions to Kaldan in these years, and made great contributions, so his status also rose steadily. At the same time, the status of Princess Heshuo Rongxian was also promoted, and in the forty-eighth year of the Kangxi Dynasty, she was officially named Princess Gulun Rongxian.

In the fifty-eighth year of kangxi, Urgun personally marched with the Kangxi Emperor, but before the war was over, he died of illness in the army in the sixty years of Kangxi at the age of fifty-one. Princess Gulun Rongxian thus lost her husband who had been with her all her life, and it was also in the same year that she lost her father, who had always loved her. In this way, Princess Gulun Rongxian spent a full six years in remembrance, and finally she died in the sixth year of Yongzheng at the age of fifty-six, and was buried with Urgun after her death. Princess Gulun Rongxian was favored by her father and her husband for a lifetime, and she also enjoyed the glory after her death. The tomb of Princess Gulun Rongxian, discovered in Inner Mongolia in 1972, is a large tomb covering an area of nearly 5,000 square meters. According to relevant personnel, the remains of Princess Gulun Rongxian are extremely well preserved, although they have been buried for more than 200 years, but the skin is still elastic. Not to mention the gold and silver jewelry that accompanied the funeral, even when she was buried, she wore a pearl dragon robe, which was embroidered with gold threads with eight dragons of different shapes, and the pearls used were about 100,000.

Compared with Princess Lan Qi'er in "Kangxi Dynasty", Princess Gulun Rongxian's life is still good, and the second half of Princess Lan Qi'er's life is painful, in the play, the Kangxi Emperor first married her to the political enemy Dzungar Khan for the sake of the country, Lan Qi'er fell in love with the Great Khan, but his father wanted to kill her husband.

Princess Gulun Rongxian's life was generally happy, she not only received the favor of the Kangxi Emperor before marrying, she also received the respect and love of her husband after marriage, and the two were able to stay together for a lifetime.

Princess Gulun Rongxian was the only daughter who was crowned Princess Gulun by the Kangxi Emperor, and Princess Gulun Wenxian, the ninth daughter of the Kangxi Emperor, was posthumously honored by the Yongzheng Emperor. (Princess Wenxian of Gulun was the sister of the Yongzheng Emperor)
