Tang Gaozu Li Yuan looked closely at the double eyelids, sitting in the study of the Kangxi beard eyebrows, as well as Du Fu, Han Xizai and other more than 50 historical celebrities, in the National Museum of China to show their faces.
Recently, the "Rong Yao Danqing - Exhibition of Portraits of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in the National Museum of China" opened at the National Expo. The exhibition consists of three units, and the selected paintings cover the royal family, famous courtiers, celebrities, literary associations, boudoirs, female appearances and other aspects, and the interpretation of the functional meaning of the paintings is systematic, diverse and in-depth.
The portraits on display in the three sections have their own characteristics. Portraits of royal courtiers are mainly realistic, and gods are written in shape, playing the role of jigong, praise and performance; The portraits of literati and celebrities combine entertainment, art and ornamentation, and there are not only independent portraits expressing personal aspirations and elegance, but also family portraits praising traditional ethics and virtues; To a certain extent, the female portraits that record the appearance reflect the awakening of women's concepts, from the early purpose of discipline and indoctrination to the presentation of women's beauty.
In the picture of the "Seated Portrait of Kangxi Study", the Kangxi Emperor has a clear face, white eyebrows, a black mink bead crown on his head, wearing a yellow satin robe, sitting cross-kneeled on a brocade cushion, and his hands lightly press the three-legged case of gold lacquer and piano, and a book is spread out on the case. Looking closely at the picture, the left and right sides of the Kangxi Dynasty are painted with book mallets with the same shape, forming a symmetrical trend, and the book mallets are furnished with antique artifacts and various books. Experts say that the painting is gorgeous in color, rigorous in painting, and the atmosphere is solemn, showing the noble status, studious virtue and elegant taste of the emperor. In "Du Fu's Medicine Collection", Du Fu has a whisker in his left hand and a medicine scythe and a bamboo basket in his right hand, the lines of the clothes are quite strong and smooth, the facial depiction is vivid, and he has a calm and self-satisfied appearance.
Guo Bo said that this exhibition comprehensively shows the content techniques, era background, creative process and related connotations of Ming and Qing portrait paintings, so that the audience can appreciate the living conditions, spiritual outlook, ideological pursuits, belief concepts and aesthetic tastes of the Ming and Qing dynasties and the Ming and Qing dynasties at the same time while viewing the paintings, and deeply understand the rich connotations of politics, etiquette, official system, art, customs, costumes, aesthetics and other aspects carried by cultural relics.
