Recently, a video in India went viral on social media, in which a 5-year-old girl in Delhi was tied up in her hands and feet, lying on the roof of a house, struggling under the scorching sun. A preliminary investigation by Delhi police revealed that the child's mother punished her daughter for not completing her homework.
At first, the police got information that the video was from the Nagar district of Karawal, but police did not find anything related to the incident. Later, the video was found to be from the Khajuri Khas area of Tukmirpur, and the house was also found.
In the video, the child can be seen being tied to the roof of a house by a rope, struggling to break free in the heat. The girl could be heard screaming in pain as her skin was visibly burned by the searing heat.
The child's mother told police she punished her for 5 to 7 minutes because her daughter didn't finish her homework and then took the child down.
After the video went viral on social media, Delhi police notified that appropriate action had been taken. After hard work, the police traced the address and family.
