If the battle takes place in a dense forest at night and the golden leopard may ambush and suddenly jump on the gorilla and bite its neck, then the golden leopard may win the game. The golden leopard is also a kind of nocturnal predator, while the gorilla has poor night vision and cannot see anything at night, which gives the golden leopard a clear advantage at night. According to scientists, the golden leopard is the only predator of gorillas in african forests. In 2011, George Schaller, a wildlife scientist who worked for National Geographic, reported that he had found a male golden leopard and an dominant silver-backed gorilla dead in his study of "Making a Last Stand Counterattack and Chutzpah Living primate." He concluded that the two beasts had a fight in the forest, and that they had both hurt each other to death.
