Bangladesh: A fire at a container yard in Chittagong killed at least 43 people

On the evening of June 4, 2022, a fire broke out at an inland container yard operated by a private company in Chittagong, Bangladesh, and caused an explosion that killed at least 43 people and injured more than 200 others in the fire. There was a container containing hydrogen peroxide in the container yard of the incident, which may have been the cause of the disaster.
