Floods in the Indian state of Assam killed 30 people

The Assam Disaster Management Authority in northeast India issued a communiqué on the 26th, saying that the flood situation in the state is still grim, and has caused 30 deaths and affected more than 560,000 people. Assam has been hit by severe weather in recent days, with torrential rains triggering flooding and several landslides that have damaged roads, bridges and other infrastructure.
