#Design Appreciation – Winery & Eye of the Elves, Designed by Chateau Suska

This new winery in Tokaj, Hungary, with its extraordinary architectural design, completes an adventurous revival on the Hill of Pady. The winery building merges with the surrounding world wine sites, subverting the traditional winery architecture like a "house", floating two sculptural bowl-like structures throughout the center of the vineyard scheme.

As a leading winery in the region for 20 years, Soska Wines commissioned BORD Architects to design a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, so one of the first factors to consider during the design process was to give it a unique and luxurious architectural appearance while integrating it into its surroundings.

The two glass facades on the top of the hill are like a pair of wide-eyed eyes, looking at the audience curiously. In the future, the area will be full of bustling and new life, and the once silent Padi Mountain will transform into a Paddy elf.
