The first prototype was completed in 1955 and mass production began in 1957 at the Rohan manufacturing plant. When Rohan Manufacturing began production of the AMX-30 tank, the AMX-VCI infantry fighting vehicle went to the Klexo along with the entire AMX-13 light tank family. Produced by loire company. Originally equipped with the French army, the car was named the TT 12 CH Mle 56 conveyor before changing to its current name. The AMX-VCI infantry fighting vehicle was heavily equipped in the French army and was gradually replaced by the AMX-1OP infantry fighting vehicle in the 1970s. As of July 2017, the AMX-VCI infantry fighting vehicle has been retired from the French Army, but is still in service in Argentina, Indonesia, Mexico, THE UAE and other countries.

Attack ability

The main armament of the AMX-VCI infantry fighting vehicle was first a 75 mm machine gun, which was later replaced by a 12.7 mm machine gun or a CAFL 38 turret with a 7.5 mm (or 7.62 mm) machine gun. The pitch range of the 12.7 mm machine gun is -10 degrees to +68 degrees. In this case, the gunner's head was exposed to the outside of the turret seat. But when aiming and shooting from inside the car, the pitch range is -10 degrees to +5 degrees. Both pitch and pitch and horizontal rotation are manually operated. When using the CAFL 38 turret, the machine gun has a pitch range of -15 degrees to +45 degrees and rotates 360 degrees horizontally.
