The policy of returning home is beginning to be loosened! Horror: European "monkeypox" spread to Italy, the first confirmed case today, and 2 more suspected cases

Since the outbreak of the new crown epidemic, returning to China has become one of the most important focuses of many overseas Chinese. Recently, Chinese embassies in many countries have issued notices announcing the relaxation of health testing requirements before returning home.

• The homecoming policy begins to be loosened! The Chinese Embassy in Italy announced that it has relaxed the requirements for testing back to China

On May 17, a notice from the Chinese Embassy in the United States attracted the attention of many overseas Chinese. According to the "Specific Arrangements for Pre-Departure Testing of Departure Personnel from the Consular District of the Embassy in the United States" issued by the embassy, according to the requirements of the Chinese authorities, from May 20, the embassy in the United States will apply the following rules to adjust when reviewing the health code:

At the same time, the Chinese embassies in Spain, Sweden, Ireland, the Netherlands, Denmark and other places have also issued notices to adjust the health code review rules.

Last night (18th), the Chinese Embassy in Italy also issued the "Notice on Adjusting the Requirements for Applying for Health Codes for Personnel Departing from Italy to China" -

According to the current epidemic situation and the characteristics of the Variant strain of Omikerong, from 20 May 2022, all persons departing from Italy to China (regardless of whether they have been vaccinated or what kind of vaccine) are required to complete cross-"binucleic acid" testing and antigen testing within 12 hours within 48 hours before boarding. "Double nucleic acid" needs to be carried out at different designated institutions of the embassy or consulate, and the last nucleic acid test sample must be completed within 24 hours before boarding. Antigen testing needs to be done at a designated institution of embassy or consulate in Italy or a qualified testing institution in major Italian airports.

At the same time, embassies and consulates in Italy have made the following adjustments to the requirements for applying for a health code:

1. Cancel the first nucleic acid test of personnel going to China 7 days before boarding;

2. Cancel the serum IgM antibody (containing N protein) test (regardless of whether or not to vaccinate or what kind of vaccine);

3. For personnel with a history of previous infection, the requirements for lung imaging in the pre-trial materials for recovery are cancelled. After 6 weeks of completing health monitoring, there is no need for cross-nucleic acid testing and 14 days of health monitoring requirements;

Fourth, the closed-loop management requirements for enterprise personnel before boarding are adjusted from the original 21 days to 10 days;

5. Crew members (including crew members on board ships for maritime operations or maintenance, cruise ships and cargo ships) are no longer required to be isolated for 14 days, and can be tested according to the requirements of ordinary passengers going to China.

In addition to the above adjustments, the requirements for other health code applications remain unchanged. At the same time, the Embassy has also released the latest process for applying for a health code, which can be found on the Embassy's website:

http://it.china-embassy.gov.cn/lstz/202205/t20220519_10688746.htm

The notice said that the Chinese embassy and consulates in Italy will adjust the dynamics of relevant measures according to the changes in the epidemic situation. Please do a good job of pre-departure protection and self-health monitoring to avoid testing positive before boarding, resulting in the risk of staying or entering the country.

• Omi kerong has a new symptom, hurry up and look at the fingernails

Italy's Daily newspaper reported that various studies on the new crown virus, especially the Aomi Kerong variant virus, are ongoing.

Recently, a British study found that 1 in 5 infected people with Omiljung may develop a rash or urticaria and have no other symptoms. Such symptoms tend to disappear after a few days without the need for treatment.

In addition, asymptomatic or mild adolescent groups may also develop symptoms associated with fingernails or toenails. The data show that about 2% of infected people can have a Bo's line (a horizontal groove on the nail), a Mi's line (a horizontal white line on the nail), and a crescent-shaped white mark at the base of the nail. Such symptoms tend to appear within a few weeks of infection and in most cases return to normal within a short period of time.

• Rare cases of monkeypox in many countries in Europe and the United States! Italy has now confirmed the first case, and there are two more suspected cases

According to the Italian Fanpage Network and Ansa News Agency, just as the new crown epidemic is gradually subsiding, a rare virus alarm called "monkeypox" has sounded again -

On 7 May, the UK Health Service announced that a person returning from Nigeria had been found infected with the monkeypox virus. At present, there are 9 cases of monkeypox in the country. None of the recently detected cases have been reported to have travelled to monkeypox-endemic countries and may have spread the infection through communities.

In addition, Portugal, Spain, and the United States have also reported dozens of confirmed or suspected cases of monkeypox. According to Spain's El País, Spain has activated a disease alert since the report of 8 suspected cases. At the same time, all suspected cases have had male sex so far.

It is worth noting that Italy also confirmed the first case of monkeypox virus infection today. According to the Lazio Regional Health Authority, a man who had travelled to the Canary Islands in Spain was diagnosed with the virus and is currently hospitalized and isolated at the Spallanzani Hospital in Rome. In addition, 2 more suspected cases are currently being tested.

Monkeypox is a rare viral zoonotic disease (a virus transmitted from animals to humans) with symptoms similar to those observed in smallpox patients in the past, but with mild clinical severity, according to the WHO website. The mortality rate for monkeypox outbreaks is generally between 1% and 10%, with most deaths occurring in younger age groups. Although smallpox vaccination is very effective in preventing monkeypox, there is no specific treatment or vaccine.

The incubation period for monkeypox is usually 6-16 days, but can also be 5-21 days. The initial symptoms of monkeypox infection include fever, severe headache, muscle pain, back pain, lymphadenopathy, severe fatigue and weakness. This can then develop into a widespread rash on the face and body.
