Folklore has it that if the moon changes color, there will be disasters. The earliest record of the blood moon in Chinese history is May 18, 498 AD, in April of the first year of the southern dynasty Qi Ming Emperor Yongtai during the Southern and Northern Dynasties, when three days after the blood moon phenomenon occurred, Sima Wang Jing began to rebel.
On April 24, 1644, on the eighteenth day of the 18th lunar month of the seventeenth lunar calendar of Chongzhen, the blood moon reappeared, and that night Chongzhen hanged himself from an old tree.
So how did the Blood Moon come about?
The Blood Moon is also called the Red Moon. The red moon usually appears during a lunar eclipse. This is because the thick atmosphere absorbs the purple, blue, green, and yellow light, leaving only red light to penetrate.

On January 31, the Super Blue Blood Moon rose over Los Angeles in the United States for 1 hour and 16 minutes.
Therefore, the blood moon is not an ominous omen, just a penetration of red light.
