North Korea, a country adjacent to the mainland, a country with a big gap with the mainland's economic level. Nowadays, more and more foreigners are traveling to North Korea. This time, several friends and I also resolutely embarked on a journey to North Korea. I just want to see the real life of ordinary North Koreans.
When traveling to North Korea, the rest of north Korea is not open to tourists except Pyongyang and several major cities. Therefore, it is difficult to know the lives of the local people. However, from our naked eye observation, the living conditions of the people in the vast rural areas of the DPRK are much worse than those of the residents of several large cities. When we travel to North Korea, we are treated like VIPs, eat the best food, and stay in the best hotels.
And during our few days of travels in North Korea, we also saw a lot of interesting scenes. These scenes seem to me to be very real. In North Korea, you'll find not just farmers working in farmland, but also soldiers and city citizens. In the farmland near Kaesong, North Korea, we saw many soldiers helping farmers.
While bathing in the river, this is common outside the outskirts of the city. The rivers in the Korean countryside are relatively clear, and we can often see children and adults bathing in the rivers. North Korean farmers like to sleep and rest in the fields. Their lunches are also often settled in the fields.
And Pyongyang serves as a window for North Korea to show off to the outside world, and the lives of the people here present a different kind of situation. The buildings in Pyongyang's urban area are carefully maintained to maintain their appearance. Even old houses are painted with brightly colored paint. Between north Korean cities, there is very little public transportation, and it is rare to see long-distance buses, and the North Korean people cannot move at will, and where the household registration is, they may live there for a lifetime. The people we see the most in North Korea are soldiers, whether in the city or in the countryside.
