Over the years, I have known thousands of calligraphers and painters from the south to the north. However, I know in my heart how lacking the heat is in the works of 85% of the calligraphers and painters. The author believes that fire is kung fu. Kung Fu is the spirit. Spirit is also realm. Years flow like water, warm memories. Teacher Yuan Yinzhang and I met in Guangzhou more than ten years ago. It is understood that Teacher Yuan Yinzhang was born as a scholar and began to study calligraphy and painting from the age of 5. Under the guidance of his father, he practiced calligraphy at an early age. He started from "Jiucheng Palace" to learn Linliu Gongqing's "Xuanli Pagoda" and "Divine Strategy Military Monument", during which he was attracted by Yan Zhenqing's magnificent and majestic "Yan Lu Gong Shuanghe Ming". In this way, Yuan Yinzhang was fascinated by the beauty of Chinese calligraphy. At a young age, his understanding of art at that time was that beauty is the purpose and driving force of art. He is not afraid of hardship, the cycle of the four seasons, and he is tireless; he realizes in his repeated visits that beauty is the highest principle and the highest purpose of art. Mr. Chinese calligraphy is more human, and there is a Buddhist grace and generosity of tolerance, so it is very different from the general... It is understood that he has successively studied Liu Gongquan, Yan Zhenqing and the "Second King" and other Dharmas, and has always taken the traditional and authentic path, so his calligraphy has "Tong Zi Gong" and Hui Gen. His calligraphy works have a deep foundation, Simple humble and majestic, he began to practice calligraphy from a young age by his family, and he was able to start from the main script, learn from the sages, and lay the basic skills for practicing calligraphy in the future, so that he deeply understands the way of calligraphy, and often has the effect of doing more with less. I heard that he loves to read, and his family has nearly 10,000 books, so it can be seen that learning calligraphy requires "extra-word kung fu", and his success is reasonable. Art comes from reality. Whether it is from Yuan Yinzhang's early works of calligraphy and painting to the appreciation of his works in the past eighty years during his journey, his works are inseparable from the roots of the northwest style that nurtured his life: the qualitative secondary beauty seen in the humility of the atmosphere.
