Ethnic tables drawn during the 1983 Census in Myanmar. According to this division, the ethnic groups in Myanmar are divided into 8 branches, each of which is divided into several species, for a total of 135 ethnic groups. The names of these 135 ethnic groups are as follows:
There are 12 kachin tribes, namely: Kachin, Kayo, Delang, Jingpo, Gaoyi Gawyi, Kakku Kakhu, Duyin Duyin, Mayu (Lau Gao), Yewan, Lahi ( Laqi), Azi , Lisu.
There are 9 species of Kayah, namely: Kayah, Zeren, Baya ( Gyo ), Kyan ( Bodan ) , Manumano , Indalai , Indo , Geiba .
There are 11 species of Karen tribes, namely: Karen, White Kron, Brede (Brezi), Monklun, Segokorn, Drebwa, Paku, Munaibwa, Bowai, Bova, And Burkren.

There are 7 species of the Rakhine tribe, namely: the Rakhine, Keman, Kami, Dai Nai, Malmachi, Mu, and De.
There are 33 species of Shan tribes, namely: Shan, Yun (Lao), Gui, Pin, Daao, Sano, Bre Palei, In ln, Song (San), Kam (Kemu), Guo (Aka Yiguo), and Kokang. , Kandidan, Gong (Kong), Dangyou, Denu, Bolang (Beng Long), Miao, Inga Yingya, Innay, Xiao Shan, Da Shan, Lahu, Wa (i.e. Wa), Inda, Ai, Boo (Dongdu), Dai Lian, Dai Long, Dai Lei, Maida, Mu Shan.

The vast majority of Burmese ethnic groups, except for the Rohingya, originated in China, and the Mon Brown deang Wa are descendants of Baipu.
