Laura is New Zealand's "Cake Detective";
Over the past 4 years, she has found 626 children like this little boy who can't eat cake.
At first, Laura's love of making cakes was influenced by her mother.
Laura's mom is an avid baking enthusiast and every year on her birthday, she makes laura a birthday cake by herself.
Every birthday cake is full of mother's love, and little Laura has always felt very happy.
Although her mother is gone, Laura can still feel her mother's company as long as she stays in the kitchen and bakes.
With children, Laura hopes to pass on the love that her mother once gave herself.
Every birthday for the children, Laura will make a birthday cake for them.
Until 4 years ago, a message changed Laura's life;
"I saw a message on our local page:
One woman asked if anyone could make a birthday cake for her adopted child. ”
Laura thought to herself, helping this child make one is not a big problem.
The strange child smiled as soon as he saw the cake, which touched Laura.
In welfare institutions, there are many children who experience the misfortune of abandonment, neglect, domestic violence, etc.;
Although they have some clothes, toilet paper and other necessities, few people can appreciate the love of their loved ones.
Laura remembered what her mother had said:

And Laura hopes that every child can feel the love from the mother.
She set a small goal: to make birthday cakes for 50 children without mothers within a year.
These children have lost their mothers and have not felt maternal love for a long time, and Laura is willing to do something for these children.
For younger children, Laura will decorate the cake with childlike fun;
For older children, Laura will design cakes according to the elements that children of this age like.
Laura never felt that designing each cake differently was a hassle.

The child who needed a birthday cake was far beyond Laura's imagination -
Nine months later, she made 100 cakes.
Things went so fast that laura alone was a bit of a struggle.
So she founded a charitable organization, The Cake Decetive.
This has also attracted some generous people to donate money to the "cake detective", and all this money will be used to make the cake.
"No matter what circumstances children are in, we want to make sure they feel that their birthdays are unique."
Detectives also know that there are more children in need of cake who have not yet been found by them.
So, they made the application form public.
In this way, Laura can learn the age and preferences of the little birthday stars in advance and design the cake they like.
While Laura's good deeds are supported, it is inevitable that some doubts will be raised:
