Huining County is located in the central part of Gansu Province, located at the junction of the Loess Plateau and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, with moderate altitude, deep soil layer, little rain all year round, sufficient light, large temperature difference between day and night, and no pollution in the environment, which provides superior conditions for the growth of small grains such as good grain rice, sorghum rice, millet, buckwheat, quinoa, peas, and lentils.
Huining has been cultivating small grains for more than 2,000 years, known for its green and pollution-free, and has been named "China's Small Grain Town" by the China Specialty Town Recommendation Committee.
