From May 6, the National Arts Fund's 2022 annual communication and exchange promotion funding project, Ili Prefecture's "Cultural Runjiang" boutique drama - large-scale original musical (song and dance drama) "Princess of Relief" will be staged at the State Cultural and Arts Activity Center (Ili Grand Theater), interpreting the good story of national unity for the people of all ethnic groups, telling the story of ethnic integration, and showing the magnificent western region and the history of frontier development. At present, the preparatory work before the performance is basically ready, the stage, lighting, props, etc. have all been debugged, and the actors participating in the performance are undergoing the final rehearsal.
The large-scale original musical drama (song and dance drama) "Princess Jieyou" is based on the historical story of Liu Xijun and Pengcheng Liu Xieyou, two princesses of the Han Dynasty Jiangdu, who successively married Wusun in the 2nd century BC, showing the feelings of the princess who cherished peace and married Wusun from afar, and the princess of Jieyou united all ethnic groups in the western region with her benevolent and open-minded discipline, industrious and wise character, and witty and courageous strategy, so that all ethnic groups shared their homeland from the invasion of war, and to safeguard national unity, safeguard the reunification of the motherland, spread advanced culture, and maintain peace and stability in the western region and the Central Plains. The incorporation of the Western Regions into China's territory has made significant contributions, and history has eloquently proved that Xinjiang is an inalienable part of China's territory.
"The Princess of Relief of Worries" is one of the key projects of Jiangsu Province's cultural assistance to Xinjiang in 2021, jointly created by jiangsu province's counterpart to support Xinjiang Ili Prefecture Forward Command and Ili Prefecture Song and Dance Theater, is to implement the spirit of the Third Central Xinjiang Work Forum and the party's strategy for governing Xinjiang in the new era, promote the "cultural xinjiang" project, and is a cultural giant system that is a gift for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the party with the achievements of aid to Xinjiang.
