Xu Xiaorong studied at Musashino University in Japan, specializing in copperplate engraving, and her copperplate engravings are like autobiographical narratives, a vivid portrayal of the journey of individuals. Immersed in the world of her personal imagination, her works such as "The Woman with the Long Neck", "Lonely Desert" and "The Child King's Game" convey a gloomy, lonely and sad atmosphere. Perhaps this is related to her childhood memories, because the psychological state of loneliness and horror haunts the memories of personal growth, and because of this, she integrates her unique personal experience into the creation of figurative prints, releasing a kind of contradiction or reverse growth psychology in the process of growing up.

"Nightmare" shows the richness of artistic creation through image and text expression, from which we can see the organic mutual context between images and words, which reminds us of the relationship between self-discipline and the present and promotes the reflection on inevitability, as well as a wake-up call to the roughness of trend and universal popularity. These should be the result of the action of consciousness on the painting, but also the expansion of the scope of experience of conscious consciousness, becoming a response under the action of psychology. Artistic creation can sincerely show the self-consciousness of personal consciousness, which is basically close to the essence of creation.
