As early as last October, Wu Zhe, who had been a contestant, judge and instructor in the field of classical recitation, settled into the expectations of spreading Chinese culture on campus and became the general director and host of the first WKU Classic Recitation Competition.

Wu Zhe said that the students who love recitation around them can have the opportunity to take the stage as "players" and express their understanding and love for Chinese culture through the form of recitation. He sighed as he was in charge of the whole process in front of and behind the scenes: "It is good that WKU has such a group of people who are sincere about Chinese culture and use their voices to spread stories. In January this year, wu Zhe, with his love for folk songs, was invited to participate in the program of Hunan Satellite TV's "Spring Flowers Blooming" as a representative of the Zhiyin Group, officially participated in the recording at the end of February, and in March, in cooperation with China Youth Daily and China Youth School Media, joined the "Online Companion Group" as a university representative and participated in the program recording again.
Folk songs, as a traditional Chinese national culture, are gradually fading out of the vision of young people. Adding popular musical elements to it and singing it in a form that is popular with the public will certainly be of great benefit to the promotion and inheritance of folk songs. "I am also honored to represent young people in the appreciation and promotion of folk songs, and to witness the innovation of folk songs is that our generation of young people is taking over the baton from the hands of their predecessors." At the scene of the event, Wu Zhe was interviewed by the program group and expressed his own opinions.
During the recording, Wu Zhe sat next to a foreign friend from Hunan Normal University who also liked Chinese folk songs. He also took the initiative to translate the meaning of the songs, introduce the background of folk songs, and publicize China's national culture.
Over the past ten years, Wenzhou-Kean University has striven to take root in the land of China to run schools, integrate Chinese national conditions and cultural education courses into teaching, and make patriotic feelings and socialist core values with Chinese characteristics deeply rooted in the hearts of WKU students through classrooms such as ideological and political education, art education and physical education. Wu Zhe, who is now an English major, also minored in communication and political science.
