Why are some communities doing a better job of fighting the epidemic? Most of them have such a spirit

Vanke City, located in Maqiao Town, Minhang, is a large community with more than 3,300 households and a permanent population of more than 12,000. Throughout the anti-epidemic process, the "spirit of mutual assistance" has injected "source living water" into the community's fight against the epidemic.

The "spirit of mutual assistance" is a spirit of mutual help and a public moral pursuit under the guidance of the core values of socialism. Looking at the communities that have done a relatively good job in fighting the epidemic, most of them have an abundant "spirit of mutual assistance". So, how did the "spirit of mutual assistance" come into being?

Key "authority" figures

(1) The landlord of "selfless dedication"

Each building in the community has a WeChat group. During the epidemic period, the landlord of the building group is even more small and for everyone, taking the initiative to undertake the work of nucleic acid testing arrangements and antigen screening information collection in the building, and tirelessly reminding neighbors to do antigen screening on time in the group every day. These tasks may seem simple, but they are actually extremely tedious and require a lot of time and effort. The selfless dedication of the group owner deeply touched the residents, and the residents turned from not understanding the antigen detection work at the beginning to the neighbors who took the initiative to help the group owner "Aite" did not complete the data upload, so that the antigen detection data was uploaded in time.

(ii) "Helpful" elderly people

The residents of the community are mostly young people, but there are also some older residents. These elderly people usually care about young people and are helpful. During the epidemic, they took the initiative to share the worries of their neighbors. After the community cleaning staff had an abnormal nucleic acid test, an elderly person in the building did the building sanitation work and cleaned and sanitize all the common areas on the first floor every night. Worried that the wet ground might pose a safety hazard, he postponed cleaning the common area until late in the evening. It is precisely for this reason that he could have gone to bed early and had to go to bed late. Some young people are touched by the sight in their hearts, emulating the elderly, and consciously doing a good job in cleaning the floor where they are located.

(3) Professionals who "dare to shine the sword"

During the epidemic period, through WeChat, short videos and other platforms, all kinds of rumors flew everywhere. At the beginning, there were often people in the WeChat group who forwarded rumors. The rumors were misleading and residents found it difficult to tell. There is a scholar in the community who studies the spread of rumors, and he explains the mechanism behind the spread of rumors from his own professional point of view, "If people lack direct experience with rumors, people will follow the crowd." And when a large number of people believe rumors, false rumors will 'come true.'" At the same time, he also reminded neighbors that short video rumors are more inflammatory, "hearing is false, seeing is not necessarily true." Slowly, the number of rumors forwarded has become less, and some residents will take the initiative to forward rumor-busting information from authoritative media in the group.

Strong public awareness

What is public awareness? To put it simply, public consciousness is to consciously regard personal interests as one with the interests of others and the interests of the state, respect the rights of others, and safeguard the public interest.

(1) Caring for friends and neighbors and respecting the interests of others

In order to achieve zero social clearance as soon as possible, residents have to do antigen testing twice a day and do nucleic acid testing as required. In the meantime, there have also been several anomalies. Residents with antigen and nucleic acid abnormalities will take the initiative to inform the group of abnormal situations, in their opinion, this can remind neighbors to do a good job of protection, reduce the risk of buildings, and avoid suspicion and panic. Neighbors understood and encouraged, "Thank you for informing the situation!" I wish you a speedy recovery, take care of yourself, and take good care of your children. Come on! And when residents return from recovery, they will also tell their neighbors in the group that they have returned home. Neighbors solitated in the group, expressing their love, "Welcome home!" If the dish is not enough, just say it! ”

(2) Crowdfunding epidemic prevention materials to safeguard the public interest

The building has a building duty volunteer, volunteers sort the couriers, and conduct secondary sanitize of the courier items. At the beginning, three volunteers were scheduled every day, and each volunteer worked about 4-5 hours. In order to reduce the working hours of volunteers, some residents have proposed to queue more shifts, each class is about 2-3 hours. But doing so will require more anti-epidemic materials. On the one hand, it is necessary to ensure that volunteers have sufficient protection, and on the other hand, it is necessary to minimize the working hours of volunteers. How to resolve this contradiction? "Crowdfunding for protective equipment!" From the call for "crowdfunding" to the completion of solitaire in the group of more than 130 residents in the building, it took only a few minutes. Because residents understand that to protect volunteers is to protect themselves and their families, and that personal interests, community interests, and national interests are a unity.

Diverse volunteer participation platform

(1) "Special" volunteer activities

The material handling of the community implements a volunteer "special field" divided into units, buildings, occupations, etc. Shanghai Electric Party Member Special Field, Jiaotong University Special Field, Minhang Teacher Special Field, Aerospace Special Field, Brunei Parent Group Special Session, Ship 711 Special Session, Veterans Special Session, etc. have successively "debuted", and each volunteer session will have a loud slogan. For example, the slogan of the veterans' special session - "If there is a war, it will be called back!" Use me in the first battle, use me to win! These slogans are also a symbol that strengthens team cohesion and inspires team members' enthusiasm for fighting the epidemic.

(2) "Classified" volunteer groups

According to the different division of labor, the volunteers in the whole community are divided into different volunteer groups. For example, nucleic acid testing team, cargo handling team, sanitize team, material transfer team, material distribution team, community patrol team, building duty team, logistics support team, antigen data management team, etc. "Classified" volunteer groups make community volunteer activities more orderly.

(3) "Building" volunteer squad

Each building in the community has a volunteer squad. The volunteer squad consists of two members: one is a fixed member. Several fixed members are mainly responsible for the maintenance of the nucleic acid detection order of the building, the distribution of antigen detection materials, the collection and upload of antigen data, the sanitize of the building and the distribution of supply materials. The second is temporary membership. Temporary members are mainly composed of volunteer residents recruited by the building, and are responsible for the sorting, sanitize of the building's materials and couriers. Residents can sign up for volunteer activities according to their wishes and time.

In summary, the formation of the "spirit of mutual assistance" is the result of the joint efforts of the three parties: First, key "authoritative" figures have played an important leading role in the process of fighting the epidemic. But the authority of the "authority" figure does not come naturally, but comes from the trust of the inhabitants. Second, a strong sense of publicity has contributed to the formation of a community of community residents, and this community force has promoted the continuous enhancement of the "spirit of mutual assistance". Third, the diversified volunteer participation platform will maximize the inclusion of community residents in volunteer practice activities, and party members, cadres and the masses will join forces. In the diversified volunteer practice activities, the "spirit of mutual assistance" is further stimulated. The "spirit of mutual assistance" has strengthened the confidence of community residents in fighting the epidemic and condensed the majestic strength and strong spiritual motivation of the community to fight the epidemic.
