In the face of complex reality, can people communicate with each other?

Behind the text, the creator is safe, but the podcast is to put the whole person in front of the stage, the person is not a fine toy after the plastic, the person has flaws and emotions.

After the interview, everyone sat on the rooftop for a while, and it was summer dusk. It was not yet the time of the epidemic, and in the bookstore downstairs, there were many foreigners who came from work to meet friends and date, some people drank, some people ate, and we chatted casually about life and work, and the topics that everyone cared about at that time. Mr. Meng said he and his friends were also preparing to do a podcast that they were going to call "out of time." Now, the podcast has 200,000 subscriptions on the podcast platform "Little Universe.".

For a long time, I didn't listen to podcasts much. Of course, I've tried a few times, wearing headphones to listen or playing it with a stereo at home, and it feels weird: first, text reading must be more efficient for me; another reason is that a few good podcasts are made by good friends, and the voices of friends in the room sound, which I think are strange, and I can obviously talk to friends directly; another reason is that a large part of my job is to listen carefully to people, and sometimes, I just want to be quiet, I don't want to hear human voices.

Knowledge payment, short videos, live broadcasts... Over the years, the media trend has been wave after wave, audiovisual pleasure and distraction occur at the same time, people seem to have long been accustomed to such an instant happiness that does not need to be paid, mobile phones, anytime, anywhere to pick up excitement, freshness and happiness. In the more than a decade of smartphone popularization, the mobile phone usage traffic of Chinese has shown an average monthly change from 1.775G to 10.3G from 2017 to 2020 alone. Fresh excitement becomes more and more unbearable if it becomes more and more accessible, and in the past few years, I have often written critically about mobile phone dependence in my manuscripts, but the reality is that I often unconsciously brush my mobile phone, even if there is nothing in the mobile phone.

Since the epidemic, Chinese podcasts have finally broken through the "boundary" of the small circle layer and become a fairly active content ecosystem. Limited by the theme and length of the manuscript, the content of several interview subjects has not been put into the finished draft, and some scholars have done podcasts in the hope of promoting their own academic research, because academic discussions naturally require many people to be present; some people treat podcasts as their own exchange salons, hoping to popularize common sense; some reporters use podcasts as a news processor, and at the moment of information overload, he will choose his trusted podcasts as a channel for information screening.

Recently, I myself seem to have developed the habit of listening to podcasts, podcasts "boring Zhai" listened to the most, the translator He Yujia this issue, I listened to it three times, I did not expect He Yujia to be so cute, I listened too happy. For nearly a week, I've been going out for a walk listening to podcasts on headphones, listening to two episodes of "Boring Fasting" and "Basically Harmless," both about Will Smith's slap at this year's Oscars. When things happen, many people say that "one or two sentences are not clear", and the anchors of these two podcasts, talk show actors Liu Yang and Mao Dong, have each spoken for an hour or two, and indeed explained such a complicated matter clearly - from what angles we can understand it and know it.

Behind the text, the creator is safe, but the podcast is to put the whole person in front of the stage, the person is not a fine toy after the plastic, the person has flaws and emotions. In the past few years, I have seen some criticism of friend podcasts, some are constructive, some are harsh, and people are to be criticized as long as they do things. The more I get to this stage, the more I feel that criticism is easy, even if nothing is done, you can stand on the highest line of morality and quality to express your opinion. But doing things is hard and valuable at the same time.
