Recently, Lei Wenyong, vice chairman of the Sichuan Federation of Industry and Commerce and chairman of Sichuan Iron Riding Lux Group (hereinafter referred to as Iron Riding Lux), said in an interview in Chengdu that private entrepreneurs must give back to the society and promote social development while developing.
In 1992, Lei Wenyong "went to the sea" from within the system and established the Iron Rider Lux in Mianyang. At the beginning of its establishment, including Raven Yong, the company, which specializes in feed, had only 6 employees. Today, the iron riding Lux, which has entered the year of establishment, has become a national key leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization, with more than 150 branches (subsidiaries) in the country and 13,000 employees.
"In 1992, I went to the sea. Most of the people who started a business with me directly broke the 'iron rice bowl' and followed me without saying a word, I wanted to give the connotation of 'iron brothers' in the name of the company, but the 'iron brothers' were too strong, so I named it 'Iron Rider Lux'. Talking about the origin of the company's name, Raven Yong explained.

Lei Wenyong introduced that in the past 30 years, Iron Rider Lux has gradually developed from a feed-based enterprise to a scientific and technological food enterprise. Behind the transformation, technology has played a pivotal role. "As a technician, I 'went to the sea' just to get the market with a leading position in science and technology. In 1996, we proposed that 'science and technology is the root of life, products are character', from the perspective of business logic, Iron Rider Lux is a technology-based enterprise. ”
As a "leader" of an enterprise who pays attention to technological development, Raven Yong is well aware of the importance of core technology, "Chinese we must truly have core technologies in order to achieve sustainable development of the industry." So we've been working on investing money and technology in breeding pigs, breeding ducks, breeding chickens. Raven Yong said.
Taking breeding pigs as an example, China is the world's largest pig producer and pork consumer, but it still faces the problem of "stuck neck" in breeding pig breeding. In this regard, Iron Rider Lux adheres to independent breeding, introduces high-quality original breeding pigs from the United States and Canada, and carries out technical cooperation with foreign enterprises in the fields of breeding system, brand building, and meat quality improvement.
"In the future, Iron Rider Lux will continue to adhere to the method of self-cultivation and joint breeding, and form digital and intelligent breeding through intelligent cloud platforms such as precision environmental control, accurate disease prevention and control, precision nutrition, precision breeding, and intelligent determination, maximize the genetic potential, and accelerate the deciphering of 'pig chips'." For a long time, Lei Wenyong attaches great importance to the social responsibility of entrepreneurs. While pursuing his PhD at The Singapore Management University, Ray completed his doctoral dissertation entitled "Research on Extreme Poverty Governance Based on Social Network Analysis" with the research direction of solving sustainable development in extremely poor areas.
In the fight against poverty, Lei Wenyong chose to develop industries in the remote Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture to help the people of Liangshan achieve independent "bloodmaking". At first, this idea was opposed by executives within the group, believing that there was no consumer market in the Liangshan area, no modern agricultural foundation, and long transportation distances and increased costs. Lei Wenyong believes that advancing into Daliangshan is the responsibility of a social enterprise. In 2019, The Iron Rider Lux was completed and put into operation in the 10,000 modern pig expansion farm in Xide County, Liangshan Prefecture, with 220,000 fat pigs out of the pen throughout the year, and the project radiated 24 townships in the county, and Xide County has also become a model for modern agricultural development and industry to help alleviate poverty.

Recalling the past of poverty alleviation, Lei Wenyong recalled a small story: at the unveiling ceremony of the rural revitalization laboratory jointly built by the Sichuan Federation of Industry and Commerce, Xide County and Iron Rider Lux, a Yi compatriot named Jike Ahong said movingly, "Iron Rider Lux is closer than my parents." In 2019, Jike Ahong cooperated with Iron Rider Lux to establish a pig breeding farm. Over the past year, Jike Ahong's farm has sold more than 2,000 fat pigs, with a net profit of more than 400,000 yuan. In the past, the annual income of the Jike Ahong family was less than 30,000 yuan. "Jike Ahong made me realize that we not only provided technology to make him rich, but also made him feel the care of the whole society and the great unity of the nation."
At the same time, Lei Wenyong also continues to explore model innovation, in view of the pig breeding by the market downturn and the impact of the epidemic, launched the "1211" pig breeding model, "1 + N" (that is, a capable person, N poor households) can drive the model, "4321" precision poverty alleviation model, "T + high-quality pig industry alliance development model", etc., so that more farmers can join the industrial chain and achieve stable income growth.
At the end of 2021, Lei Wenyong was awarded the title of "Advanced Individuals Of Democratic Parties, Federations of Industry and Commerce, and Non-Party Personages Contributing to the Comprehensive Construction of a Well-off Society".
