Tenzin's ancestors have lived in the township for generations, and as he grew older, various physical problems began to appear, and the doctors in the township health center became the "guardians" of the health of the elderly. "I've been very unwell these days." When the old man Tenzin saw Dutton, he couldn't help but talk to him.
After some communication, Dutton learned that Tenzin had joint pain all over his body during this time, and he took painkillers, but the effect was not good. "Do you want to go to the prefecture?" Tenzin asked.
"You don't have to make another trip! Now, the health center and the county hospital have established a remote packaging mechanism, and we can directly contact the doctors in the county. That's a Tibetan doctor from Shanghai, what else are you worried about? Dutton comforted the old man.
Immediately, he called the doctor at the county hospital. The old man reported his condition, and Dutton helped introduce the old man's past medical history and medication, so that the county hospital doctors could know more about Tenzin's condition.
"In this case, he needs to use some new drugs. These drugs may not be available in health centers, and they can be purchased through the unified platform of the county, and they will be distributed to health centers after a while. On the other end of the phone, the Tibetan aid doctor told Dutton, "If you don't worry, the Tibetan medical team will go to the township in a few days to make rounds and show the old man when the time comes." ”
Hanging up the phone, Dutton explained in detail to Tenzin, and the old man's hanging heart finally let go. In Jiru Township, there are still many old people like Tenzin. For them, the county seat is a long way away, and the health center is the first place to turn to health problems.
The reform of primary health care has brought convenience to people in remote areas. Doctors from county hospitals and doctors from Tibetan aid went to towns and villages to carry out roving diagnosis and treatment; The county's medicine and equipment supply is integrated to ensure that the county's medical community has "centralized procurement and overall deployment...... Wujin Solang is a doctor at the Jiru Township Health Center. Not long ago, he went to the county hospital to study with his class, and under the guidance of the Tibetan doctors, he mastered a number of common first-aid skills and was able to deal with some emergencies independently.

Dutton said, "In response to the shortage of diagnosis and treatment skills in health centers, we will arrange for doctors to go to higher-level hospitals for rotational training to improve medical security capabilities in a targeted manner." ”
"The changes in Jiru Township are a microcosm of the progress of primary medical care in Yadong County.
