In fact, the existence of the shrew dates back thousands of years and has been a common folk animal before. In "Journey to the West", it is described that the animal that camels the Tang monks and disciples across the Tongtian River is a giant shrew. However, due to changes in the ecological environment and other factors, the number of shrews has decreased sharply in modern times until it has become an endangered animal.

  During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Gaoming clearly proposed to do a good job in the protection of germplasm resources of shrews, and will rely on the shrew conservation base to plan and build a provincial agricultural science and technology park, and highlight the advantages of the ecological environment through the growth of the shrew population.
