Recently, Apple China launched a recall of one of its products to solve the permanent black screen problem of the product through free maintenance. The announcement shows that Apple has confirmed that a very small number of 40mm Apple Watch Series 6 devices may permanently display a black screen. The production dates of the affected equipment are between April 2021 and September 2021.
Apple said owners of the Watch Series 6 can use the serial number lookup tool available on the official website to check if their devices are eligible for a repair plan. If eligible, apple officials or Apple authorized service providers will perform free repairs.
Apple officials also reiterated that the plan provides coverage for the eligible Apple Watch Series 6 for two years from the date of the device's first retail sale. It is understood that apple watch series 6 is a smart watch released by Apple on September 16, 2020.
