On the windowsill of my house, there is a pot of cactus balls. The old aunt knew that my family did not have plants, so she cut off some of her own cactus balls and planted them in a pot and sent them.

In the beginning, I was very curious about this "new person" in my family, and I had to go to see it from time to time. These cactus balls were tightly wrapped around the thorns, as if several small hedgehogs had shrunk into balls. These spines are thin and long, and each one can easily penetrate the clothes and penetrate the skin. I tried to pull out one and look closely, but as soon as I reached out, I was pricked by the thorn around the one I was looking at, and several drops of blood oozed out, causing me to grin in pain. In the future, I no longer dare to touch the thorn of the cactus ball, only dare to look at it from a distance, but I dare not come closer.

Until a class meeting, the teacher said that there needed to be more than five plants in the classroom, so I took the cactus ball from home to the school.

I clutched the cactus ball in fear, coldly pierced, the tip piercing into the flesh, and I inhaled a cool breath. Gradually, after being pricked more, I was no longer afraid and rekindled my curiosity about it.

After the cactus ball was taken back, it grew flowers again, fiery red petals, yellow as gold buds, very cute, and I went to see it from time to time. By the day, the flowers have become hairy balls. I wondered, did this furry ball grow into a fairy ball? Can hair grow into thorns?

After that, I took a study trip for three days and two nights. When he returned, the hairball had also disappeared, replaced by several cactus balls, and the thorns had formed, although they were a little shorter.

Now it is like a strong man, standing in front of the window, and like a mountain, let you blow the wind and rain, still strong. I can't help but think of Zheng Xie's poem "Thousands of grinding blows are still strong, Ren'er's east, west, south and north winds", although it is written about bamboo, it is also applicable to cactus balls.
