Assassination of the "Nazi" Bandera: The KGB wants you to die three times, and never leave anyone to five

author:Teacher Huang Na

In October 1959, West Germany, Munich, Kreittmayr, a 50-year-old Eastern European man named Stepan Burbeel, died suddenly at the doorstep of his home, and after forensic medical identification, the initial judgment was a heart attack.

However, the death was not known in accordance with procedure.

Soon, West German security intervened in the investigation.

It turns out that behind this, there is quite a story.

They found tiny wounds on his face caused by glass shards, and after further autopsies, they found cyanide residues in the deceased's body.

It was finally determined that the real cause of death of this person was not heart disease, but hydrocyanic acid poisoning.

Obviously, this should be a long-planned assassination. However, West Germany and the United States repeatedly studied, but could not find any clues to his killing.

As a result, the death became an open case, and it was not until two years later that part of the truth finally surfaced. I'll talk more about this later.

If you want to talk about the death of Stepan Burbear, why did it alarm so many departments at once, it turned out that the so-called Stepan Burbel was the one who had a bloody vendetta with the Soviet Union, Poland and Israel - Stepan Bandera.

Bandera was born in 1909 to a clergyman family in Galicia (present-day Lviv Oblast, Ukraine).

After the war between Russia and Ukraine, the Lviv region, the westernmost part of Ukraine, the news exposure rate was very high

Objectively speaking, for a long time in history, Ukraine was not an independent political entity, but more like a geographical concept, with little experience as an independent state, and they were either ruled by Polish-Lithuanians or controlled by Tsarist Russia.

By the end of the 18th century, when Poland had been divided three times by the Russians and The Prussians and erased from the map, the eastern part of Ukraine was fully Russified, while part of the western region was assigned to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, so that for a long time, many of the eastern and western parts of Ukraine were separated.

The partitioned territory of Poland in Europe

Bandera's hometown, Galicia, belongs to the border between the Russian Empire and the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The main inhabitants were Ukrainians, Poles and, to a lesser extent, Czechs, while Bandera grew up in villages under the jurisdiction of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

Europe before World War I

So, at this time, Bandera's identity was neither Ukrainian nor Russian, but a citizen of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

After World War I, Poland was restored, Galicia and parts of Western Ukraine were annexed to Poland, and Eastern Ukraine joined the Soviet Union (the Soviet Union, which existed only after 1922).

During the period of being "managed" by the Poles, the Western Ukrainians had a very depressed life - a large number of Orthodox churches were demolished and the Ukrainian language was restricted. Many Ukrainians were working for Polish landlords, oppressed, and their hatred and discontent grew.

This experience deeply irritated Bandera and made him a so-called "Ukrainian nationalist".

Bandera secretly joined the "Ukrainian rebel army" and soon reached the top of the "organization".

In 1934, Bandera was arrested and sentenced to death after an attempted assassination attempt by the Polish Minister of the Interior, but was later commuted to life imprisonment.

More than four years later, with the outbreak of World War II in 1939, Poland was once again destroyed and Bandera regained its freedom.

The previous experience of "unyielding struggle" in prison has accumulated super prestige for Bandera in the nationalist community.

After his release from prison, Bandera became the boss of the gang, began to cling to the thighs of Nazi Germany, tried to rely on the Germans to help Ukraine achieve independence, and continued to carry out many destructive attacks on Soviet transportation, industry and agricultural enterprises.

What should not be forgotten is that after the fall of Poland, Lviv, Warren and other western Parts of Ukraine, which originally belonged to Poland, have erupted in many rounds of large-scale vendetta against Poles.

At the instigation of the nationalists under Bandra, some of the Ukrainians slaughtered the Poles as cattle, and at the same time, out of "hatred of the rich", they also persecuted a large number of Jews.

The president of the driver of Jewish descent once praised Bandera as a national hero. However, if he had been born half a century earlier, he would probably have been sent to make soap

Especially against the Poles, they have resorted to brutal means such as skinning, eye gouging, burning, and dividing the corpses of five horses... The details are too bloody to say.

Specifically, you can refer to the movie "Warren". The scenes of the ukrainians' tragic genocide against the Poles in the film are based on the history of the year and the survivors who are still alive. However, due to the excessive bloodshed, when it was released, it was still heavily deleted. According to the recollection of the person concerned, the scene was bloody and brutal, and even the German army of the Nazi Party, which was known for its inhumanity, could not see it.

On June 30, 1941, in Lviv in the west, the Nazi puppet "Republic of Ukraine" was formed, with Bandera as its supreme leader.

Of course, Bandera knew very well that no one would liberate you without any intention, and the Germans were not Gods, so why not help you with any benefit?

Therefore, in order to show his "loyalty" and "combat effectiveness" to the German masters, Bandera decided to practice his hands with his hometown first.

Under his command, the so-called "Ukrainian Republic" launched a massacre against the Jews of lviv region on the day of its founding, killing more than 1,500 people, while the Germans played only a supporting role in this operation, providing only the "necessary means of transport".

The scene of the year

In the years that followed, in addition to the anti-German partisans, Bandera and his gang in Nazi uniforms, another of their main targets of oppression and massacre was Jews and some Poles.

In the middle is Stepan Bandera

It is precisely because of the above-mentioned countless blood debts that after the Ukrainian color revolution, when the "American son-in-law" President Yushchenko overturned the case to Bandera, he was protested by the Polish side with the threat of severance of diplomatic relations, and Israel also constantly condemned it.

However, under great pressure, in 2010, Bandera was posthumously awarded the title of "Hero of Ukraine" and was widely publicized as the "Father of the Nation".

Soon, with the pro-Russian Yanukovych coming to power the following year, the Ukrainian government withdrew Bandera's title of "Hero of Ukraine".

But by 2014, after Ukraine's second color revolution, Bandera was once again elevated to the status of "Father of the Nation." Statues and portraits of him appeared in major cities, kiev's "Moscow Street" was renamed "Bandra Street", and the neo-Nazis marched with a large portrait of Bandra.

The bandra statue in present-day Ukraine is on one side the flag of the Ukrainian puppet government that defected to the Nazis; on the other side is the flag of modern Ukraine

Okay, let's go back to the 1940s, bandera, who defected to the Nazis.

By 1943, as the Germans switched from offensive to defensive, Bandera was ready to establish a true "Ukrainian national government" while Germany was at war on both fronts and the Red Army had not yet arrived.

As a result, before they could put it into practice, Bandera and his "founding cause" angered the Nazi occupiers. In early 1944, the Germans, in a fit of rage, directly arrested Bandera and threw him into the Sachsenhausen concentration camp in Germany.

However, a few months later, under the pressure of the battlefield, the German government announced that it had pardoned Bandera and dragged him to the Eastern Front, asking him to take the "Ukrainian rebel army" to deal with the Soviet partisans.

Bandera's father, Bandera the Elder, had joined the White Bandit Army during the Russian Civil War, but was killed by the Red Army. Thus, from an early age, Bandera was extremely hostile to the Soviet Union, and even more regarded Russians and pro-Russian Ukrainians as enemies of the united world.

Like the Poles and Jews, Bandera and his "rebel army" were extremely brutal against the Soviets and the Ukrainians who helped the guerrillas.

Even on the eve of Bandera's puppet army's retreat, a group of people rushed to the home of dragon, a Ukrainian mass with ties to the Soviet army, and cut off the heads of her and her three children with an axe, killing her own compatriots without blinking.

Assassination of the "Nazi" Bandera: The KGB wants you to die three times, and never leave anyone to five

The Bandera family, although he was particularly cruel to other people's children, in the hearts of their children, they have always been a loving father

At the beginning of 1945, when Germany was defeated, Bandera recognized his "new master" in time - the British and Americans felt that this "anti-Soviet" had great use value, so through the operation of intelligence personnel, they successfully "escorted" him to the Allied control area, helped him settle in Munich in West Germany, and paid money to continue to support him to "carry out the movement".

The Soviet Union and Poland naturally could not swallow this breath, and repeatedly demanded Bandera's extradition and prosecuted him for "crimes against humanity" (mainly massacres against civilians), but they were rejected by the West for various reasons.

So the newly emerged KGB (the National Security Council, founded in 1954 and whose main predecessor was the Cheka) decided to solve the problem "in its own way" .

However, in West Germany, such a sensitive NATO member, it is certainly not possible to openly kill Bandera, but it is quite difficult to get rid of him secretly.

Bandera himself has a very strong reconnaissance and counter-reconnaissance ability, and the surrounding areas where he lives and operates are densely populated and difficult to start.

In response to this situation, the KGB recruited a Ukrainian named Staszyński, forged an identity for him, and sent him to Munich to approach and find an opportunity to assassinate Bandera.

The photograph is said to be of Staszynski

According to Staszynski, who later defected to the West, he was coerced into becoming a KGB agent.

In 1950, the 19-year-old Staszyński was admitted to a good engineering college, but when it came to the admissions and political review process, he was suddenly taken away.

The organization told him that his family composition was not good, not only could not enter such a key university, but other universities are unlikely to accept him, and even later find a job is very difficult, you can not pass the political trial - because Staszyński's brother-in-law was once a member of the Ukrainian democratic guerrillas, after the end of the Great Patriotic War, he still insisted on continuing to fight against the Soviet army in the Ukrainian nationalist anti-Soviet guerrillas, and he was still a leader.

Member of the Ukrainian Democratic Guerrillas. They persisted after Germany's surrender and were not completely wiped out until around 1952

Under great pressure, Staszynski had no choice but to obey.

Soon, he became an undercover partisan of his brother-in-law's guerrilla group, and within a few months, he completed the tasks assigned to him by the organization.

This outstanding performance made the organization very satisfied with it, and Staszynski not only received a considerable reward, but also went to university as he wished.

After graduation, Staszynski was directly recruited by the KGB and became a member of its organization, receiving a full set of professional skills training such as makeup stealth, grappling, gun shooting, and intelligence reconnaissance.

After that, he was assigned to West Germany, with the goal of Bandera.

At one o'clock in the afternoon on October 15, 1959, Bandera came home from shopping, carrying a large bag of food in his right hand and trying to open the door with his left hand.

Unfortunately, the key just got stuck. At this point, Bandera pressed his left knee against the door, trying to pull out the key.

At this moment, the secretly observing Staszynski walked from the foyer to Bandera, and while casually asking if the Bandra Gate was broken, he suddenly shot him in the back of his right ear.

Bandera fell down in response, struggling, but unable to speak.

Staszyński took the antidote and covered his nose and mouth, and after observing for a minute, he was sure that Bandra was bound to die, and quickly slipped a smoke flash.

Stashinski killed Bandra with a special gas gun made by the KGB.

Assassination of the "Nazi" Bandera: The KGB wants you to die three times, and never leave anyone to five

It probably looks like this

This dark weapon consists of a metal tube about 15 centimeters long and a firing device, and the firing pin on the firing device can ignite a gunpowder controller, and then under the action of gunpowder gas, a metal rod will smash and fire a glass ball containing highly toxic substances, using atomized agents to make people invisible.

Its movement is very small, and when the poisonous gas is gone, it basically does not leave any traces.

Although this gas gun is powerful, it must be used in close proximity (within half a meter) to actually kill the opponent. This placed very high demands on the agents.

In addition, there are certain risks for the agent himself to operate.

Because the atomized agent also acts on the agent himself, the agent must take the antidote he carries with him for a short time after completing the shot. In terms of specific operation, kgBs generally apply the antidote to the handkerchief in advance, and immediately after the agent is fired, they will cover the mouth and nose with a handkerchief and eat the pill at the same time.

Headquarters of the KGB in Soviet era

Two hours later, Bandera's body was found.

As mentioned earlier, initially because neither the police nor the forensic doctor found traces of blood and fighting at the scene, coupled with the seemingly typical characteristics of sudden heart disease death, at first, West Germans judged to be sudden heart attack death.

It was not until later, when higher-ranking personnel intervened and found tiny wounds caused by glass shards behind his ears, and the autopsy found cyanide, that it was determined that there must be a conspiracy.

However, the truth was finally revealed, two years later, in 1961, when the assassin Staszynski himself told the truth.

In that year, after successfully completing the task of hoeing, Staszyński was recorded as a great achievement, and was personally received by the then chairman of the KGB, Shelepin, and was awarded a very high-specification red flag medal.

Originally, for Staszyński, who had been fully affirmed and valued organizationally, there was a promising future in the KGB system.

However, it's all about love...

Soon after, he became madly infatuated with an East German girl and applied to the organization to marry her.

Initially, the East German girl failed to pass the political trial in Moscow, but at the desperate insistence of Staszyński, the organization agreed to the union of the two.

Probably influenced by east German wives, the two fled from East Berlin to West Germany in August 1961, a few days before the Berlin Wall was built.

Soon after, Staszynski approached the CIA office in West Berlin, turned himself in, and confessed all his crimes.

Unexpectedly, the CIA initially thought he was mentally ill, and it was not until it consulted the relevant files of the West German police that it paid full attention to him.

Later, West Germany held a public trial in which Staszyński's murder was established. However, yu voluntarily surrendered himself, and acted on orders, and decided to give him a light sentence.

In the end, Staszynski was sentenced to eight years in prison.

For a time, the "scandal" of the Soviet KGB's political assassination was besieged by various countries.

The head of the KGB, Shelepin, also lost his political position in the party.

For Staszynski, defecting to the West does not seem to have helped him live the happy life he imagined.

Embarrassingly, Staschensky's East German wife, fearing that the KGB would retaliate, slipped away from divorce, even though The choice Straszyski made was mainly for her own East German goddess.

After more than three years in West German prison, Staszyński suddenly and mysteriously disappeared and seemed to evaporate from the human world ever since.

According to some later claims to be "decrypted", Staszynski was secretly released by the CIA after being groomed by the CIA and sent to South Africa, where he continued to use his espionage expertise....
