Five Premier League players of the year: the Red Devils and Blues are both aces are not eligible Forttenham Hotspur double star back in La Liga

The Premier League's 2021 summer transfer window has once again brought in the eyes of all of Europe after Chelsea signed Lukaku and Manchester City brought in Glalis from Aston Villa. Last summer's window cost a total of £1.2 billion, with only Everton spending less than £15m. Arsenal topped the table with £149 million in spending, including players ben White, Erdgau and Ramsdale. Manchester United are second and Manchester City are third. In terms of net spending, Arsenal also topped the table, while Chelsea achieved a profit of £2 million thanks to sales of players such as Tammy Tammy Abraham, Mark Gei, Tomori and Liverlamento. However, while a lot of players came to the new club last summer, some of them may be ready to leave. Whether it's a lack of form, unfamiliar circumstances, injuries or something else entirely different, there are several stars who may be leaving after a year at the new club.

Lukaku Chelsea

When Chelsea confirmed that Romelu Lukaku had re-signed for the club, the most anticipated transfer of the summer was announced. The Belgian national team's all-time top scorer performed well at Inter Milan, winning the Serie A title in the club's final year. His debut on his second leg at Chelsea also went well. He scored a goal at the Emirates Stadium that threatened Arsenal's defence and it seemed like a special start. However, injuries struck, and after he returned to the team, an interview with the Italian media was broadcast, in which he revealed his desire to return to Inter Milan. His popularity among Chelsea fans has fallen and Tuchel no longer believes him. Since then, Havertz has been the center of choice for the center position. Werner also sat on the bench at Stamford Bridge and he was back in the starting line-up even before Romelu Lukaku. Lukaku has only scored five Premier League goals in his entire season and none in 2022, and is no longer in good shape and unpopular. Barring a turnaround, he is likely to leave the club this summer.

Cristiano Ronaldo Manchester United

Unlike Lukaku, Ronaldo has been in good form this season. While the former Real Madrid star has been criticised for influencing The way United play, he has scored 22 goals in 31 league and Champions League starts. Ronaldo may no longer be his former self, but he still knows how to score goals and has been positive during a rather subdued season at United. With his career coming to an end and United unlikely to make it to the top four this year, Ronaldo may seek a transfer to ensure he can play in the Champions League.

Emerson - Tottenham Hotspur

Emerson's performance at Real Betis was impressive, having been signed and sold by Barcelona but not playing a single game for the club, with Tottenham picking him up last summer. Doherty failed to meet expectations after leaving Wolves in 2020, and Emerson is seen as an upgrade to the right-back position. However, since Conte came to the club, Emerson's flaws in possession have been highlighted. Conte is often seen yelling at the player on the sidelines, and Emerson is clearly not the Italian's first choice in this position. Adama Traore's transfer was unsuccessful in January, but Tottenham are looking for other options for their right-back position. Emerson could be sacrificed to make way for a new signing.

Brian Gill Tottenham

Emerson didn't seem to impress Conte, but Brian Gill never really had a chance to express himself. The Spaniard was signed last summer but was loaned back to La Liga in January to join Valencia until the end of the season. Gill didn't start once in the first half of the season, but he has started seven times in La Liga since joining Valencia. He hasn't received much attention, so Gill may already be fighting for a transfer, especially considering Kulusevsky has been brought in and reused at the club.

Leon Bailey Aston Villa

He has been injured so much this season that he has only started six times in the Premier League, scoring one goal during that time. Having been watched by teams like Chelsea during his time at Bayer Leverkusen, Pele is now miles away from that level and given his problems with game time, he may seek to leave to restart his career. Considering his 24-year-old, Pele still has time to play in the Champions League, but in order to re-attract some of Europe's elite clubs, he needs to find a new home where he can start and stay healthy enough throughout the season.
