A display case at the Qingdao Naval Museum in Shandong Province attracted a large number of visitors to stop and think deeply. In the display case was a shrapnel taken from the brain of Mai Xiande, the recipient of the national honorary title of "People's Hero".
In the 1965 "Eighty-Six" naval battle, Mai Xiande bravely participated in the battle as a mechanical and electrical soldier on the escort boat No. 611 of our navy. During the battle, Mai Xiande suffered heavy shrapnel damage to his head. After waking up from his coma, he endured severe pain and persevered until the battle was won.
The shrapnel is speechless, but it shows the faith of the "iron warriors" loyal to the party. Mai Xiande, who came to visit, left an affectionate message: "We must listen to the party's words, defend the motherland, and defend the country and mountains forever!"
The People's Navy is loyal to the party and does not get lost in the voyage. Over the past 73 years, "listening to the party and following the party" has always been a belief that generations of naval officers and men have adhered to. The spirit of the fierce tiger on the sea, the spirit of the pioneer at sea, the spirit of the eagle in the sea and the air, the spirit of the Xisha, the spirit of the Nansha, the spirit of the nuclear submarine... These spiritual wealth, which are integrated into the blood of the people's navy, have provided a steady stream of impetus for generations of naval officers and men to guard the motherland's ten thousand miles of sea frontiers.
Because of his loyalty, Wang Wei, the "guardian of the sea and air", was forced to parachute and fall into the sea in order to defend the territorial airspace of the motherland, and his life was forever fixed at the age of 33. Zhang Chao, the "pioneer of a strong army chasing dreams and seas and skies", made a heroic sacrifice to save the fighter plane, and in the last moments of his life, he still remembered the carrier-based aircraft cause he loved... Because of their loyalty, thousands of sailors sacrificed their lives and forgot their deaths, went forward to succeed each other, and bravely marched forward to the sea chart.

The mission also carried out a new batch of carrier-based fighter jet flight cadet daytime aircraft carrier qualification certification, realized the cadet daytime certification, instructor night certification once landing success rate of 100%, and refreshed a number of records such as the largest number of single certifications.
"Rise to the sea, decline behind the sea." If the sea cannot be made, it must be made of the sea. This is an unforgettable lesson that history has given to the Chinese nation. Nowadays, the training of naval vessels out of the island chain has become the norm, the systematic training of aircraft carrier formations has continued to advance, and the naval ships and aircraft of the three major theaters have regularly raised troops to the ocean, setting a number of records such as the largest number of participating troops, the most complete training elements, and the greatest difficulty in attacking and defending.

At the request of the Kingdom of Tonga for relief from the volcanic disaster, the Chinese army dispatched naval ships from Guangzhou on January 31 to transport the second batch of Chinese aid to Tonga by sea.
