The GT Racing 7 update arrives this week to add at least 3 new cars

"GT Racing 7" producer Kazunori Yamauchi recently tweeted that "GT Racing 7" will be updated this week, bringing 3 new vehicles. In the tweet, the developer and former pro racing driver showed silhouettes of 3 cars with the headline "Updates are coming next week."

GT Racing 7 is scheduled for server maintenance on April 25, so this time the maintenance may be in preparation for the update. It's unclear what new cars the update will bring, and it's not certain that the update will only add the above three new cars.

The updates since the release of GT Racing 7 have left players very unhappy, and Kazunori Yamauchi later apologized to ensure that new vehicles and tracks would be added.

As compensation for recent problems, Polyphony awarded GT Racing 7 users 1 million in-game credits last month, which would cost around $15 if Krypton was gold.

In addition, Yamauchi said at the time that the studio was developing a longer-term update. Since it was developed as a service-oriented game, this will further change the game. This includes increasing the payout value of limited-time rewards, increasing online time testing, and allowing players to sell cars in exchange for in-game credits.

While public sentiment towards GT Racing 7 is improving, the game remains the lowest-rated game in Sony's history. Out of 10243 user ratings, GT Racing 7 has a user rating of only 2.0. In comparison, the average score of 117 media outlets is 87 points.
