Q: I'm not actually a professional voice actor, but why did I go to a dubbing show like "I Am a Voice Actor"?
Chen Yelin: I like dubbing, and I think dubbing is very important. Voice actors and actors are all shaping roles, and in order to better shape the characters, I came to this show.
Q: Is there any pressure to compete on the same stage with many seniors in the dubbing industry in the show? Whose voice is the favorite of the contestants? What style do you feel your voice is?
Chen Yelin: In fact, the pressure is quite large, because many of the contestants are professional voice actors. I also like Mr. Ma's voice, I think his voice is very distinctive, so that I can remember, and his image is also very close. I think my voice is more youthful and will be a little bit above.
Q: There were a lot of opinions and controversies after the broadcast of the competition work "Let's See the Meteor Shower" in the program, but what do you want to reply to?
Chen Yelin: This is actually very normal, the audience has the audience's ideas, I also have my ideas, everyone's views are different, so there will definitely be a lot of controversy. I will reflect on how I want to progress next through the audience's ideas, and I hope that in the future, I can take into account the audience's ideas while expressing what I want to express, which is what I will do later. I also thank the audience for their questioning of me, and for questioning me and proving that they love me.
Q: The sound can polish the character, and there is no shortage of character works in reality where acting skills and dubbing achieve each other, which is the film and television drama work that you are most impressed by?
Chen Yelin: I was most impressed by "The Biography of Zhen Huan", in which the dubbing added a lot of highlights to its own performance.
Q: When you have a choice, do you prefer to interpret the character with your own soundtrack or dubbing? After participating in the competition, did you have any new views on dubbing?
Chen Yelin: It must be the original sound, because the original sound must be more in line with the emotions of the time and the character itself. After participating in this competition, I realized that sound is very difficult to shape, for example, it is really difficult to completely close to this role in a film and television drama. And dubbing is actually benevolent, wise people see wisdom, everyone's understanding is different, I think dubbing still has to have a three-degree creation, you can match your own understanding, this is an idea I have always had.
Q: In fact, most of the works participated in are costume dramas, and the "Ruyi Fangfei" that ended some time ago is also a costume drama, which costume work has a character more like yourself in life? Which genre do you prefer for costume works and modern works?
Chen Yelin: The inspirational growth story of chivalry or small people is more suitable for me.
I prefer modern works, because modern is closer to the person itself, acting is acting people, so acting modern will make me more comfortable.
Of course, I will also act well in costume plays.
Q: What is the style of clothing in life? What is the most photographed item?
Chen Yelin: I will like to wear bigger, longer things, which will make me feel more secure.
The items with the highest appearances are sunglasses or handbags.
Q: What is your favorite part of your facial features? What part do you care most about if you need makeup for your job?
Chen Yelin: Among my facial features, I like ears the most, because my ears are relatively large and I feel very safe to touch.
If you need makeup at work, you will care most about the eye area, because the eye area will add a lot of highlights, and if you don't draw well, you will look more decadent. After all, the eyes are the windows of the soul, and the windows definitely need to be dressed up.
Q: Do you usually vent your stress through exercise? What is your favorite sport? How will you work out if you don't have enough exercise environment in the crew?
Chen Yelin: Yes, I usually vent my stress through exercise. I like football the most and often play it. In the crew, there are often no conditions for exercise, either buy your own equipment and put it in the room to practice, or you practice with your bare hands on the set.
