As the first "Hometown of Quyi in Guangdong Province" in Zhongshan City, Guzhen Town has a long history of quyi culture and has a broad mass base. As early as 1999, the Guzhen Town Opera Association was established, and after more than 20 years of development, there are currently 14 qu art clubs under the association, in addition to a number of quyi private partnership bureaus, which is the largest cultural and artistic team in Guzhen Town. The children who participated in the parent-child study tour came from Zhennan Primary School in Guzhen Town. Guzhen Town has always paid attention to the inheritance of Cantonese opera culture, explored "Cantonese opera and Cantonese opera into the campus", and promoted the art of opera among young students. Since 2016, Zhennan Primary School has set up a Cantonese opera interest class, hiring actors from the Guangdong Jiangmen Repertory Theatre troupe and members of the Guzhen Opera Association to teach Cantonese opera, so that students can understand the singing voice and repertoire of Cantonese opera in the way of learning to sing sentence by sentence.
Since 2016, Zhennan Primary School has opened a Cantonese opera interest class.
In 2019, Zhennan Primary School, as the talent training base of Zhongshan Xiangshan Cantonese Opera Research Institute, began to re-select Cantonese opera club students on campus, and was trained by professional actors of Xiangshan Cantonese Opera Research Institute and music teachers of the school teaching 10 lessons per semester together; in May 2019, Zhennan Primary School won the first prize in the town competition with the program "Yue Yun Lion Soul" that integrates the rhythm of Xiaodan, Huadan, Ugly And Wusheng and wakes up the lion. In October, he participated in the gala performance of Guzhen Town to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and received unanimous praise. This is the first new era civilization practice "day reading lantern capital" research activity in Guzhen Town in 2022. It is understood that the "Day Reading Lantern City" parent-child study tour was launched in March 2021, and successfully created 9 cultural and tourism routes that fit the characteristics of the ancient town, attracting 500 people to participate, online promotion and attention reached 10,000 people, and won the second prize of the first cultural and tourism volunteer service project exchange and display activity in Zhongshan. This year, Guzhen Town will continue to carry out the "Day Reading Lantern Capital" parent-child study tour activities, further expand its participation and influence, and cover the route study to all schools in the town.
