When the Korean War broke out in 1950, Bong Hyo-tong, who was born a poor peasant and had only been a junior in the early three years, was successfully conscripted into the army with full of enthusiasm, and together with the Chinese Volunteer Army, he crossed the Yalu River and rushed to the Korean battlefield.

In 1953, Feng Xiaotong successfully returned to China, and the central authorities decided to select a number of military cadres from all provinces in the country and concentrate them on the first squadron of the Central Guard Regiment to be responsible for Chairman Mao's security.

In February 1958, in response to the call to "strengthen socialist construction", Feng Xiaotong decided to return to his hometown from Beijing and engage in agricultural production.
Soon after being demobilized and returning home, the commune invited Feng Xiaotong to serve as an armed officer and train the militia; the "large-scale militia division" called for by the party and the state was deeply valued by the grass-roots government.

On November 12, 2013, Feng Xiaotong's party officially set off from his hometown in Xinhua County, and the town government considered that the road conditions were not good at that time, so they sent off-road vehicles to send them to the county first, and then took a train to Changsha, where Feng Xiaotong made a comprehensive inspection.
