At the launch site, the Provincial Reading Activity Leading Group announced the list of provincial certification projects for public welfare reading promotion activities in 2021, as well as the list of "12 Good Books" recommended to the society in 2022 and the list of key activities of the 18th Jiangsu Reading Festival.

At the launch event site, Nanjing launched the "Reading the World, Reading the Future - 2022 World Book Day World Literary Capital Nanjing Global PEN Association Initiative", inviting readers around the world to write down their feelings about reading for the future and share their reading experiences together.
During this year's Reading Festival, all districts and departments in the city will also hold more than 270 reading activities in various forms, hierarchical classification, and online and offline combinations, and more than 60 key activities, continuing to provide high-quality reading services for citizens. All activities can be participated in through the "Shuxiang Nanjing" WeChat public account, Purple Mountain News Client Shuxiang Nanjing column and other information release platforms.
