The 18th issue of "Photo Online Shooting", which will be held from April 22 to 23, 2022 (this Saturday and Sunday), will launch a total of 32 targets for the "Yadong Print Album".
This special session features the photographs taken by the Yadong Printing and Painting Association in various parts of China to characterize and regionalize the combing and presentation, showing collectors and friends the different forms of dissemination of the "Yadong Printing Album", one of the most important photographic collections during the Republic of China, and covering the scenery and folklore of Yunnan, the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, Beijing, Zhili, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Fujian, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Northeast China, Chahar, Suiyuan and other places.
The Yadong Printing And Painting Series was published in Dalian in September 1924 by the Manchurian-Mongolian Printing and Painting Association (Japan) and continued to be distributed for 19 consecutive years until 1942. The "Album" distributes ten photos around specific themes every month, covering Chinese customs and folklore, natural scenery, humanistic history, art and culture. The size and binding form of the photos on the "Album" are basically uniform, each black photo album paper is about 21×30 cm in size, and a photo of about 10×15 cm in size is pasted on the front and back, and a label with an explanatory text is attached next to each photo, including the title, shooting location, and brief introduction, and some of the labels are also printed with the shooting time and the first few of the first few times of the "Album" to which it belongs.
Among the more important photographers who photographed the Yadong Print Collection are Kozo Sakurai (also known as Ichiro Sakurai), who was the president of the Yadong Printing Association, as well as Shimazaki, Fumio Aoki, who photographed Tibet, and many photographers who have yet to be further examined.

In the collection market, there are also "Manmeng Grand View" and "Asia Grand View", the size and binding form of the photos on these two print collections are almost the same as those of the "Yadong Printing Album", and some even indicate that the photos are the first few of the "Yadong Printing Album". Considering that the publisher renamed the "Manchurian-Mongolian Printing Association" as the "Yadong Printing and Painting Association" in January 1926, it can be considered that the "Manchurian and Mongolian Grand View", "Asia Grand View" and "Yadong Printing And Painting Series" are homologous products.
At the beginning of the release, the caption was available in Japanese, Chinese and English versions. At present, the main ones that appear in the domestic collection market are the Japanese version, the occasional English version, and the Chinese version rarely appears. The English version is about 50% more expensive than the Japanese version.
