A few days ago, the Information Office of the Chongqing Municipal Government held a press conference on the 2022 Chongqing National Reading Month, and the "2021 Chongqing National Reading Index Evaluation Survey Report" released at the meeting showed that the comprehensive reading rate of Chongqing residents in 2021 has reached 91.96%, and the average daily reading time is 57.4 minutes.
In Chongqing, the development of the publishing industry is as prosperous as the trend of reading for all. According to statistics, in 2021, more than 300 projects in Various Publishing Units in Chongqing won national, provincial and municipal awards. Among them, there are 44 national awards, setting a new high in recent years. At the Fifth China Publishing Government Award Commendation Meeting, 9 projects in Chongqing won awards, and the number of awards reached a new high.
