Engraved porcelain production is made by using a variety of special knives, such as plain porcelain plates, porcelain plates, tea sets, porcelain bottles, etc., through the process of grinding, chiseling, drilling and so on. In the 1970s, in order to enhance the expressiveness of engraved porcelain in production practice, the Arts and Crafts Factory of our county developed and created knife methods such as compound knife carving, iron wire carving, yin and yang carving, etc., which can not only carve dense and delicate brushes, but also produce wanton and rough freehand, and have the effect of simplicity and elegance of gold stone, and gradually form a unique style of Chengwu carved porcelain.
"The first process of engraving porcelain works is to make drawings, that is, drawing; the second process is engraving, and there must be a change in the use of knife methods in engraving; painting and dyeing should grasp the characteristics of porcelain, because porcelain does not absorb water, so in painting and dyeing, it is necessary to maintain the viscosity of pigments, and then appropriately cooperate with a change in color editing to achieve the artistic effect of Chinese painting and calligraphy." Chu Chengwen, the inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of Shandong Province, introduced it.

In recent years, our county has actively carried out porcelain engraving projects to help rural revitalization training activities, guided porcelain engraving artists to open 11 studios and 5 companies, and achieved good economic and social benefits. At present, there are more than 100 people in our county, and the annual sales volume of engraved porcelain is more than 5 million yuan, which has effectively promoted the revitalization of the countryside while inheriting traditional skills.
