The fourth daughter of The Sui Dynasty Guanglu Doctor: Li Jingxun

author:Old Shaw talks about history

1400 years ago, a 9-year-old girl named Li Jingxun suddenly fell ill and died, and her grandmother Yang Lihua, who loved her deeply, was extremely sad, and what was creepy was that in addition to ordering 3,000 nuns to recite the sutra for Li Children, she buried countless gold and silver treasures, and also carved a 5-character curse on Li Children's exquisite coffin: "The coffin of the person who opens the coffin is dead."

Why is there such a vicious curse carved into the coffin of a nine-year-old girl? What kind of person is Yang Lihua?

In 1957, villagers in Liangjiazhuang, Xi'an, reported that an ancient tomb had been found in the local area, and archaeologists who learned the news rushed to Xi'an from all over the world overnight. After careful investigation, experts determined that this was a Sui Dynasty tomb and that the tomb had not been stolen, so a large number of archaeologists began to excavate the tomb.

After several months of excavation, archaeologists found that the luxury of this tomb is not even comparable to the Sui Dynasty Emperor's Tomb, and it is the most complete and highest-grade Sui Dynasty tomb so far, of which the butterfly love flower pearl gold crown, modern technology can not reproduce, just containing 28 pearls inlaid lapis lazuli necklace is worth hundreds of millions.

This tomb unearthed more than 260 cultural relics, each of which can be called a national treasure, and the pieces are extremely valuable. It is well known that The Sui Wen Emperor Yang Jian advocated frugality, and the Sui Emperor Yang Guang was also scrawled and buried, with only two teeth left. Why is a child's tomb so luxurious?

Archaeologists inquired about the relevant historical documents of the Sui Dynasty through the 300-word epitaph in the tomb, and finally confirmed that the owner of the tomb was the fourth daughter of the Sui Dynasty Guanglu Doctor, Li Jingxun, a little girl (Li Xiaoxiao) who died early at the age of nine.

Although Li Jingxun's parents were noble, they did not have any power, but her grandmother was very famous, and only one person named Li Zhi in thousands of years of history could compare with her, and her grandmother was Yang Lihua, the eldest daughter of Emperor Yang Jian of Sui.

Yang Lihua was also a poor woman, and when her husband Yuwen Yun ascended the throne, she was suddenly crowned with five empresses, making her marriage an ugly thing that had never been seen in eternity. Yang Lihua had a hard time surviving her husband to become the empress, who wanted her father Yang Jian to usurp the throne successfully, and a good empress dowager became a princess again.

In 581, Yang Jian forced the 9-year-old Jing Emperor Yuwen To give up the throne and become the founding emperor of the Sui Dynasty. Yang Lihua then changed from Empress Dowager Northern Zhou to Princess Leping of the Sui Dynasty. Yang Jian felt guilty about his daughter, and from time to time he rewarded her with a lot of money, and at the same time loved his granddaughter Yuwen Eying.

Yang Jian once helped Yang Lihua to recruit many young talents, hoping that her daughter would take advantage of her youth to remarry, so that she would not be widowed for a lifetime. However, Yang Lihua swore to be a widow for Yuwen Yun, and she single-mindedly raised her daughter Yuwen Eying to grow up, and the marriage was terminated.

When Yuwen Eying reached the age of marriage, Yang Jian personally made a holy decree to recruit a virtuous concubine for his granddaughter in the HongwenGuan, which caused a sensation in Chang'an, and this matter became an interesting talk of the people after tea and dinner. In the end, After the goal, Li Min stood out from hundreds of kings and grandsons, and the most important thing was that he looked better than Pan An.

In 600, Yuwen Eying gave birth to a fourth daughter, and Yang Lihua named her Li Jingxun. After Yang Lihua married her daughter Yuwen Eying, she had no relatives around her, and she became more and more lonely in the inner palace, and after Li Jingxun was born, Yu Wen'eying sent her daughter into the palace to be raised by Yang Lihua.

"Discipline the long music, see the grace of kindness alone, teach the deep palace, and obey the virtue of suppleness."

In 608, Yang Guang drove to Fenyuan Palace to escape the summer, and Li Jingxun followed Yang Lihua to the palace, but due to the unsatisfactory water and soil, unfortunately he contracted an illness and died in the palace. Yang Lihua hugged her granddaughter and cried bitterly, and specially invited 3,000 nuns to chant for her day and night.

Yang Lihua, as a close relative who loves her child deeply, so the funeral became the final expression of love. Although there was no title before her death, the little girl's funeral specifications were extraordinary, and the burial tools were made of high-grade sarcophagus, and the burial products were exquisite and rich.

"When the frost falls in the daytime, the yingmaid spring falls, and before the jade platform is ascended, it will mourn the day of Zelan"

In order to prevent the tomb from being stolen, Yang Lihua specially asked craftsmen to create a palace-style stone rafter with ingenious craftsmanship, also known as the nine-ridge hall sarcophagus. Li Jingxun lay quietly in the sarcophagus, his small hands tightly hugged on his chest, wearing precious jewelry on his body, and when sealing the coffin, the coffin lid was engraved with the curse of "the one who opens the coffin is dead".

Yang Lihua wrote more than 300 epitaphs to Li Jingxun, "Common Knowledge bubble illusion, He Huo Shou 夭", these eight characters let us feel the grief of a grandmother losing her loved ones. The pain of the white-haired man sending the black-haired person completely dragged down Yang Lihua's already bad body. Two years later, Yang Lihua died and asked Yang Guang to take care of her daughter.

Who thought, not long after Chang'an came the folk song "Yang Hua Fell, Li Hua Blossom", Yuwen Eying in order to rescue her husband, was eventually seduced by the Yuwen family, the folk song maker. Yang Guangguang was furious, and 32 members of the clan including Li Min were killed, and then they personally gave a cup of poisonous wine to send their niece to Huangquan.

This rumor that the emperor spent the Li family was originally used by the Yuwen family to eradicate Li Yuan, who wanted Li Yuan to escape the disaster, and Li Min's family became a scapegoat. If Li Jingxun had not died of illness and encountered a family chaos, perhaps there would not have even been a tomb, and after a thousand years, only a pile of messy white bones would remain.

The Sui Dynasty Emperor Yang Guang may not have expected that he would exterminate his niece's family for the sake of the stability of the imperial throne, and eventually be replaced by the Li family, which is really sad and ridiculous. Yang Guang was eventually buried by the Yuwen family, even on a scale that was not as large as the county order.

For 1400 years, the petite Li Jingxun lay in a coffin, wearing honeysuckle beads, a gold necklace inlaid with gemstones around her neck, a gold bracelet on each wrist, and a rare treasure around her, as if to say that her time would always stay in that fanghua age.

Li Jingxun had thousands of favors like a brilliant galaxy before her death, and after her death, she also enjoyed the glory of the sun and the moon, although she did not grow up, but it also became a strong stroke in the history books.

Archaeologists hesitated when turning on and off, and after thinking about it for a long time, they decided to open the coffin, and they stuffed a photo of the leader into it. Although the curse is vicious, this is also the love that Yang Lihua has passed on as a grandmother for a thousand years.

If you are interested in learning about Li Jingxun's funerary products, you can go to the National Museum to see, which collects such as white porcelain double-bellied dragon handle bottles, gold buckle jade cups of high-quality mutton fat jade, etc., the physical object is more exquisite than the photo, and the process is far beyond modern technology. There are also several photos of Li Jingxun's funeral offerings attached below.

It is hoped that these crafts, such as Yang Lihua's love for Li Jingxun, will not be lost after thousands of years of wind and rain.
