The development team for Apex Legends has released the latest trailer on Twitter, seemingly hinting at the introduction of the BRD-01 auto-combat robot "Spectre" that appeared in Titanfall in Season 13. These mechanical soldiers will most likely appear on the Storm Point map.
As the tweet indicates, the security protocol is being activated on storm point's computer. The agreement appears to hint at the deployment of special loot boxes, weapon racks, and "specter" containers to storm points — the latter further corroborated by holograms of the phantom's head in the lower right corner of the computer screen.
The Phantom Battle Robot is an upgraded militarized unit that fights alongside normal infantry and iron riders in Titanfall. "Ghosts" that are more powerful than ordinary infantry are dangerous when confronted in large numbers and head-on. But they are slow, which makes them easy to get around and, of course, hacked in to become friendly.
Storm Point is apex's most PvE-focused map, and it features beasts and spiders, so it's not surprising to see "ghosts" join the battle this season. However, given that they are all hackable in Titanfall, there is an interesting possibility: Respawn may recruit them in a way that gives players an advantage in a firefight with other teams.
So far, we've only seen the "ghosts" from Apex in the trailer, which are clearly more aggressive and have more advanced combat abilities than what we see in The Titanfall games. Therefore, it can be speculated that the "Ghost" may have been upgraded to be as stupid as in Titanfall.
It looks like Season 13 of Apex will begin in early May. According to the leak, the new role in the new season is likely to be Newcastle – in fact, Bangalore's brother, Jackson Williams. However, Respawn has not yet released official information about Season 13.
