BYD officially announced the interior design of its SEAL models, and the design and appearance of its interior are in the same vein, all derived from the concept of marine aesthetics. As the third model of the Ocean series, it will be built on the BYD e platform 3.0, and will launch three options: the standard endurance version, the long endurance version and the four-wheel drive high-performance version, respectively, equipped with two capacity battery packs of 61.44kWh and 82.56kWh, and the official mileage is 550/700 and 650 kilometers, respectively. Judging from the official design drawings, the seal dashboard partly imitates the undulating lines of the ocean, and the curved design of the steering wheel line and other details like a marine creature complements the design, and also carries a liquid crystal dashboard and a suspended rotatable Pad central control screen, as well as a crystal-style electronic gear handle. Among them, the console and the two sides of the door panels form a fusion effect through the curve, creating a wrap-around cockpit shape, and even the inner door handle is like a water droplet, and the overall design is full of sense.
Looking back at the appearance part, the front face of BYD seal adopts a closed design, and the headlight group cooperates with the imitation air intake shape below to create an X-shaped trend, with the concave and convex lines on the front cover, highlighting a certain sense of movement. It is worth mentioning that its headlights are rounded and full, the interior is a double U-shaped daytime running light, and the decoration of the edges is in the form of the letter C with the headlight body.
The side lines of the body are smooth and simple, the upper waistline extends from the front wing to the rear, and the lower door part is also folded. In addition, the side visible new car has a pronounced short front and rear overhang design, which looks more sporty and beautiful. In the rear part of the car, the tail light group of the new car adopts a penetrating design, and the design with a diffuser can be seen below, which highlights the sporty temperament of the whole vehicle. In terms of body size, from the declaration information previously reported, the length, width and height of the new car are 4800/1875/1460mm, and the wheelbase is 2920mm.
In terms of power, SEAL will provide three endurance versions, of which the standard endurance model is equipped with a 150kW rear motor with a range of 550 kilometers; the long-endurance version is equipped with a 230kW rear motor with a driving range of 700 kilometers; and the top four-wheel drive version has a total motor power of 390kW and a driving range of 650 kilometers.
