The new office will feature Michael J. Cinquemani as Chief Content Officer.

Cinquemani is a veteran writer and producer whose work spans both games and television. He was previously the lead narrative designer for Jam City's Harry Potter: The Hogwarts Mystery and spent three years on the narrative platform Episode.

Fusebox CEO Wil Stephens said the opening of the new Los Angeles studio and Cinquemani's appointment would help expand the company's "relationship with UK and US TV studios."

Cinquemani added that his character will not only focus on existing Fusebox games, but will also "actively seek out new IP and create original Fusebox Games games."

Fusebox laid off several employees in the UK last year. At the time, the company said it was in the process of transforming its business model "into a more flexible approach to co-development" as a way to justify the layoffs.
