In the summer of 1998, many parts of the mainland suffered a huge flood that had not been encountered in a hundred years, and the officers and men of the People's Liberation Army desperately tried their best to protect the lives and property of the people; it was also the winter of that year that I put on my military uniform and became a part of the military camp.
Before leaving, my father took my hand and said in a serious tone, "When you get to the army, do a good job, and if you don't let us come back, you will always do it." ”

In April, the begonia flowers in the camp bloomed, and another group of new recruits entered the camp. That green and childish face always reminds me of myself at that time: I just arrived at the recruit company, first contact with the newspaper professional, and I wanted to show my fists and feet...
However, the ideal is full, the reality is bone. The code is densely packed, and when you read it, you forget it; the theory is obscure and difficult to understand, like a book in the sky. Soon, the thought of giving up came to mind.
I said to the squad leader, "I'm not this piece of material. The squad leader stared at me for half a day, and finally asked with a calm face: "Then which piece of material are you?" ”
I opened my mouth and didn't say a word, my face burning.
Back at the dormitory, my comrades were asleep, and I picked up the code book and quietly walked out. Since then, I have never "talked to the class leader about the conditions." As soon as I had time, I would go to the library to flip through books, take notes, and mark the codes into categories and change them to easy memories. I also insist on writing a study log every day so that I can record the problems and sort out the key points.
The daily calculation is insufficient, and the annual calculation is more than enough. In the final examination that year, I scored a perfect score, ranked first, and was rated as an "all-excellent student".
In 2000, I was admitted to the Non-Commissioned Officer School, but my major was replaced by artillery repair, which had nothing to do with the previous one.
But this time, I didn't have the slightest fear of difficulties. The "hard bones" of that year have been gnawed down, and I will definitely be able to complete a new challenge.
I took out the momentum of that year, started from the basics, and analyzed the structure of the parts one by one. At night when others were asleep, I would cat in the bed with a flashlight to study the circuit diagram. As soon as I had the opportunity to go to the cannon to practice, I followed behind the backbone of the business, and when I encountered something I didn't understand, I broke the casserole and asked the end, and practiced a "cheeky face".
Kung Fu pays off. In my first year at the school, I was named an "Outstanding Student" and was awarded the title of "Level II Skill Master" in the graduation examination.
However, on paper, A live-fire shot in 2004 made me really realize that if the technology is not passed, it is a matter of life.

The confrontation between land and air on the training ground was fierce, and at a critical juncture, an artillery piece on the position suddenly "jammed", the ammunition was seriously deformed, and there was a danger of explosion at any time. At this point, only 3 minutes before the next round of fire strikes.
The gun commander and I worked together to control the bolts to prevent touching the bottom of the cartridge, and carefully pushed the cartridge outward little by little.
The sun was scorching, and beads of sweat were hanging on my forehead, but I didn't dare to move. The cartridge slid little by little, and I didn't dare to gasp. One second, two seconds... The medicine barrel was finally successfully launched, and I breathed a long breath, and my hanging heart also let go.
After successful risk elimination, someone asked me: "Are you afraid or not?" "To be honest, when I got off the gun, I found my legs soft. However, the moment I rushed up, I didn't think about it at all, and there was only one thought in my mind - "Can't let it explode."

After the brigade was equipped with a certain new type of missile, many backbone artillery maintenance cadres were transferred to become missile mechanics. A comrade-in-arms came to persuade me: "You are familiar with engineering mechanics and circuit principles, if you transfer to the missile profession, you will definitely get started quickly and develop better." ”
I shook my head, it wasn't that I was dead-eyed, but that I had more important things to do.

During a demonstration of field emergency repair courses, I stumbled upon the problem of inconvenient disassembly of artillery body tubes, and when I went back that night, I summoned technical backbones to study together, and after several days and nights of analysis and testing, we made a portable body tube disassembly rack, which greatly shortened the maintenance time and improved the efficiency of emergency repair.
In the follow-up exercise tasks, I led the scientific research team to innovate and complete more than 10 technological innovations such as "signal bomb simulation missile launcher", "multi-function mobile power supply" and "driving indicator", filling a number of technical gaps in the brigade. At the beginning of 2011, we won the "Medal of Honor" in the on-the-job training competition, and at the end of the year, I was awarded the third class merit.
Over the years, I have formed a scientific research group with other technical backbones to study in depth artillery maintenance and troubleshooting topics; I have used my spare time to open an "artillery lecture hall" in the company and train more than 10 maintenance backbones for the company.
Data is the tireless pursuit; achievements are the constant determination to forge ahead; honor is the silent adherence of not forgetting the original heart, but also the silent encouragement and support of relatives. I have been in the army for many years, I rarely go home, I was not around when my grandfather died, my daughter did not recognize my father who came home from vacation when she was old, and I only ended separating from my wife last year...
After 24 years of military service, I feel ashamed of my family; I have no complaints or regrets about my work.
