In Tokyo, Japan in 1945, when the artillery was under fire, a demon appeared while everyone was busy drilling air raid shelters.

Let's travel back in time to 1905 and take you through the details of the case

Located in the middle of Japan's Kanto Plain, Tokyo is an international metropolis facing The Gulf of Tonkin and ranks in the top four in the global city index.

Today's story takes place here, but we need to start with the neighboring Tochigi Prefecture.

On January 28, 1905, Yoshio Kodaira was born to a large family in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, to parents who had six children, three sons and three daughters, the youngest son.
Saying that large families do not mean that they have many families, but that his mother is from a local famous family, and there are many people in relatives who are cattle people, some who are lawyers, and who are judges, so they have money and land.
However, his father was a common man, and his father's 4 brothers and sisters were also ordinary people.
Therefore, people in the village have said that Kodaira Yoshio's father can marry such a successful wife, which is simply a smoke rising from the ancestral grave.
But this father with no background is really crotch-pulling, he has three hobbies in his life, drinking, fighting, spending money, and making a bunch of fox friends.

Although the family business is not small, he can't help but toss it so blindly, and it is not surprising that the family's woodland and fields have been destroyed by him, leaving only a hotel to barely make ends meet.
Yoshio Kodaira was born under such circumstances, so his life was tight.
And for a long time, he has learned a lot of vices, such as violence.
When I was in elementary school, my teacher also said:
Yoshio Kohai is inattentive, often quarrels with his classmates at school, and especially likes to bully some honest students.

Academic performance naturally goes without saying, ranking third and last among the 23 students in the class.
That is, when he was in elementary school, his family found that he had the problem of "stuttering", so he did not like to communicate with people and had a more withdrawn personality.
In March 1917, 12-year-old Yoshio Kodaira graduated from elementary school, because his studies were too poor, and he did not like to study, so he thought of simply not studying and entering the society in advance.
On his first stop, he chose to go to Tokyo, but because of his young age, no one wanted to use him, and he had to go around doing some chores to support himself.

Later, he really couldn't live this hard life, so he returned to his hometown and found a job at the local Furukawa power plant.
In June 1923, 18-year-old Yoshio Kohaira joined the Japanese Navy, he was originally grumpy, like to fight, the Japanese Navy's rough and arrogant atmosphere, which further contributed to his temper.

Before joining the Navy, Yoshio Kohatai had not had private contact with women, but after joining the Navy, the chaotic environment gave him the opportunity to contact many women, and after experiencing it, he was more and more obsessed with women.
Later, his naval fleet reached Places such as Australia and Europe, and he was not idle, frequenting the local red light district, sometimes changing 4 or 5 girls a night.

After working in the power plant for several years, in January 1932, Yoshio Kodaira was introduced to marry a woman in the factory, but before half a year after marriage, Yoshio Odaira was outside fooling around and had an illegitimate child with the daughter of a relative.

The old man's family also realized that Yoshio Kodaira was not a good person, and suggested that his daughter quickly divorce, which was infuriating at once.
When Yoshio Kodaira learned of this, he rushed directly into his wife's mother's house, beat the old man to death, and injured 6 other family members.
In this case, Yoshio Kodaira was sentenced to 15 years in prison, and if he had been locked up, perhaps the series of tragedies that followed would not have happened.

But less than 8 years later, in September 1940, Yoshio Kodaira was released on parole.
The reason was that it was during the war and Japan lacked labor, so many prisoners were granted amnesty and their sentences were reduced.
After his release from prison, Yoshio Kohira began to make a living everywhere, working as a boilermaker, a construction worker, and so on. In that period of lack of labor, he had hands and feet, and there was no problem in supporting himself.
In August 1943, 38-year-old Yoshio Kodaira came to the Omori Naval Daiichi Garment Factory in Tokyo, where he concealed his criminal record.

Coincidentally, most of the workers in this factory are women, so Yoshio Kodaira likes it here because he can peek at girls taking a bath.

As a man with scarce resources, Yoshio Kodaira was very popular and married again not long after.
In February 1945, the year after Kohira Yoshio's marriage, his wife bore her a son, but just two months after the son was born, the United States carried out a series of large-scale strategic bombings of Tokyo, later known as the Tokyo Bombing.
In order to escape the war, the wife returned to her mother's house in Toyama with her children, while Yoshio Kodaira continued to stay at the garment factory.

On May 25, 1945, after Yoshio Kodaira sent his wife back to his mother's house, he couldn't wait to confess to Miyazaki Mitsuko, a 21-year-old woman in the garment factory, who was a member of the women's standing team (women's volunteer army) of the garment factory at that time.

I know there is a place where I can buy cheap rice.

Such heavy news made Ishii Yuri very excited, she didn't even think about it and believed it, perhaps because the family was hungry, she couldn't think about it.
Yoshio Kohai took her outside the city, and before they knew it, the two of them left the city and came to a deserted grove, and Yuri Ishii realized that something was wrong and she wanted to go home.
But at this time, she couldn't help her, how could Yoshio Kohira, who was on the brain of the sperm worm, let the duck in his hand fly, and he forcibly took Ishii Yuri into the grove.

On July 12, 1945, Yoshio Kodaira met 22-year-old Mitsuko Nakamura at Shibuya Station, and with his previous successful experience, he repeated the trick and deceived Mitsuko Nakamura, saying that he knew that there was a place where he could buy cheap rice.
Using the same trick to coax Nakamura Mitsuko to the edge of a grove outside the city, Nakamura Mitsuko pulls out the knife he carries with him and intends to resist.

On July 15, just three days before the case was filed, Yoshio Kodaira set his sights on 21-year-old Kazuko Kondo.
Kazuko, an employee of a publishing house, went out carrying a school bag full of materials that day, and happened to meet Yoshio Kohaira at Ikebukuro Station.
Yoshio Kohira pretended to help, carrying her school bag, and during the conversation, he also revealed that he and Kazuko's route were the same, so the two went together.
As he walked, the road turned sideways, and Yoshio Kodaira said that he knew a path and took Kazuko to the edge of the deserted grove.
As a result, Kazuko disappeared, and the only 60 yen she had on her body was also taken.

On September 28, while riding a train at Tokyo Station, Yoshio Kodaira set his sights on Yoshie Matsushita, a 21-year-old publisher.

After committing 5 consecutive crimes, Yoshio Kodaira finally rested for a while, not because he had changed from evil to righteousness, but because his wife and children had returned.
But a demon like Yoshio Kodaira, as long as he is not captured for a day, he will not stop.
On December 29, at Asakusa Station, Hiroko 21, another woman, using the old routine, took Hiroko, another woman, to the outskirts of the woods.

But Yanagi, who got the bread, didn't want to leave, so she had to follow Yoshio Kodaira.
On August 6, Yanagi followed Yoshio Kohira on the Yamanote Line tram, where Yoshio Kodaira couldn't hold back and moved his hands and feet.
Unexpectedly, Liuzi not only did not resist, but also seemed to have a state of pandering, Ping Yixiong felt that there was a drama, so he took Yanagi to the nearby grove, after a cloud and rain, the obedient Yanagi still could not escape the fate of the moon falling flowers.

On August 17, 1946, when a migrant worker was mowing weeds on the mountain, he smelled a peculiar smell, and he searched for the smell and found a body that was dying, which was the murdered Yanagi Midorikawa.

During the investigation, the police found that Yanagi Midorikawa had recently come very close to Yoshio Kodaira.
And on August 6, when Yanagiko disappeared, several witnesses saw her going out with Yoshio Kodaira, and Yanagiko also wrote in her diary:

On August 20, the Japanese police arrested Yoshio Kohata, who was arrested very calmly, and he seemed to have known that there would be such a day.

The husband usually treats her and her son very well, the relationship between husband and wife is also very harmonious, almost every night will perform the ritual of the week, gentle to her, did not find that the husband has any special hobbies, so all this is done by the husband, she is completely unacceptable.
On March 3, 1947, the trial against Yoshio Kodaira was held at the Tokyo District Court, and this case caused a huge sensation in Japan at that time, because after the war, japan was mainly managed by the United States, and the result was a serial murder case of such a bad nature, which was very shocking.
On trial day, the court was overcrowded, with 350 court tickets swept away.
The melon-eating masses all wanted to see what this cruel demon looked like, but in order to protect privacy, Yoshio Xiaoping wore a woven hat throughout the trial, so no one saw the real face.

Because during the investigation, it was found that during the crime of Yoshio Kodaira, there were dozens of women killed, and the way of victimization was almost the same, but there was uncertainty in the time and place of some cases, so the prosecution finally prosecuted Yoshio Kodaira with 10 murder cases.
In court, Yoshio Kohata only admitted to the 7 murders we mentioned above.

Although he himself has admitted it, the verdict against him has not been issued because his defence counsel believes that:
Yoshio Kohata is a neurotic, usually very calm, once excited, out of control and violent, his criminal behavior is another personality in his body, and he should not be sentenced to capital punishment.
For this, Yushi Uchimura, the chief professor of psychiatry at the University of Tokyo, scrutinized Yoshio Kodaira and concluded that he did have a mental illness and suffered from a very rare congenital personality disorder.
However, from the details of the crime, this is not a passionate crime, but an organized and premeditated crime, and he believes that Yoshio Kodaira can clearly realize that his criminal behavior is wrong when committing the crime.

On June 18, 1947, the Tokyo District Court sentenced Yoshio Kodaira to death. However, he appealed on the grounds that the death penalty was cruel, but the appeal was ultimately dismissed.

Looking back at this series of criminal acts, some people feel that Yoshio Kodaira has not been suspected of committing crimes in succession, indicating that he is extremely intelligent and good at disguise.

Actually, this is not the case, and I think there are two important reasons why he has not been caught for a long time:
The first was that post-war Japan was very chaotic, with a large flow of personnel and limited police forces, so the investigation was not strong.
The second point, and the more important reason, is that the target chosen by Yoshio Kodaira is random, that is, indiscriminate crime, which is the most difficult to track, coupled with the backwardness of criminal investigation technology at that time, so he can always get away with it.

In the year and a half of working in the garment factory, I found that the women in the factory loved beautiful clothes, so buying a beautiful dress for a woman was the fastest way for the two to be together.

Usually, when this is said, the other party is definitely happy, and the next thing is easy to do.
Later, after leaving the garment factory, I realized that many people did not have enough to eat, so as long as they gave women food, they would take the initiative to approach you, saying where to buy cheap rice, this trick was tried and tested, usually women will take the initiative to follow.

On October 5, 1949, Yoshio Kohira was executed, and before his death, he behaved very calmly, as if he had finally been relieved, and he hoped that his wife would take good care of his son, while leaving a sentence:
"I am fortunate to die on such a peaceful and peaceful day."
