The Grand Cherokee High Altitude Kit is released and is expected to be powered by a 4xe model

Recently, JEEP released the new Grand Cherokee Suite and announced that the Grand Cherokee High Altitude Suite will be used in the Grand Cherokee 4xe model. The model is currently on display at the 2022 New York International Auto Show and will be available to the public on April 15-24, 2022.

In terms of appearance, the Jeep Grand Cherokee High Altitude kit adds a set of 21-inch gloss black aluminum wheels, glossy black trim and badges, roof rails and a unique seven-slot grille. With the arrival of the High Altitude suite, the new car will also offer a new paint option called Hydro Blue Pearl Coat.

The Current High Altitude kit is only available on grand Cherokee Summit 4xe and Summit Reserve 4xe models, which are at the top of the midsize SUV. It will be ordered in the second half of 2022 with new paint color options.

Jim Morrison, Senior Vice President of JEEP, said: "The stunning High Altitude Exterior Kit and the new Premium Hydro Blue Exterior Color Option give more options for those looking for the highest performance and luxury experience with a unique look and feel. In terms of power, the Grand Cherokee 4xe model will be equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors, with a total output of 375 horsepower, a maximum torque of 637 Nm, and a pure electric range of 40 km.

As for pricing, the High Altitude suite added $1495 on the Summit 4xe and $995 on the Summit Reserve 4xe. The Grand Cherokee 4xe series isn't cheap, though. The electric model starts at $57,700, a difference of $20,000 from non-electric models. The Grand Cherokee Summit 4xe is priced at $69,820 and the Summit Reserve 4xe is priced at $74,300.
