Many fans have pointed out the natural defect of "net port disadvantage" in the analysis of the reason. But is height really the main reason for the failure? The author believes that height is not the only factor, and the lack of outstanding items is the key.
If the short main attackers want to gain a foothold in the national team, they must let the coach see their strengths, and since there is already a natural disadvantage in height, they must make up for it in other aspects. Compared with the tall main attack, the short player has the advantage in the defensive and flexible movement of the back row. However, in terms of the performance of the domestic league, Zhonghui, Wu Han and Cai Xiaoqing did not highlight these advantages, and some places were worse than the high main attack.
Zhonghui is the main attacker of the Shanghai women's volleyball team, and the 21-22 league season is the first time she represents Shanghai as the main player. In the first pass system of the Shanghai women's volleyball team, Zhonghui's back row protection ability is not heavy, the main pass is foreign aid Jin Softjing or Larson, free man Wang Weiyi and Ouyang Xixi, Zhonghui only receives 3 rounds of one pass at most. As mentioned earlier, if a short player wants to impact the national team position, the back row guarantee must be higher than that of the tall player. Wu Han's rear row support is still slightly underheated.
Cai Xiaoqing is the main attack of the Henan women's volleyball team. Compared with Zhonghui and Wu Han, Cai Xiaoqing undertook a heavy rear row support task in the team, but she can only be regarded as a short general, and the level of the Henan women's volleyball team must be counted in everyone's heart. In the final analysis, it is not that the short main attack does not have spring, but the short main attack does not play its own advantage. Since the back row is not as good as the tall players in terms of dexterity on the field, why should the coach cultivate short players?
If Wu Han, Zhonghui and Cai Xiaoqing want to storm the national team seat, they should still make good use of their advantages, surpass the tall main attack in other aspects, and strive to improve their back row support capabilities.
