On the occasion of "July 1st" in 2021, Li Wei, a student of Northeast Dianli University, created "100 Leaf Sculpture Works Showing the 100-Year Wind and Rain Course of the Communist Party of China" to celebrate the centenary of the Communist Party of China.
Recently, he has begun to carve new works to cheer for people fighting the epidemic. The following is the first work created by Li Wei related to the fight against the epidemic.

And this sentence: "Jilin refuel, Dongdian refuel", also pinned on Li Wei's feelings these days.
Under Li Wei's skillful hands, the leaves turned into the overworked teachers participating in the epidemic prevention work and asleep in the car, into the appearance of campus volunteers serving their classmates, and also into the appearance of foreign medical staff rushing to help Jilin ...
Elements such as portraits, landscapes and texts are integrated, and each leaf sculpture is exquisitely conceived and exquisite. Li Wei said that after the school was closed on March 8, he began to create these works with the theme of fighting the epidemic.
According to Li Wei, the patterns carved this time are mainly shots of some anti-epidemic personnel in the school. I usually see a lot of such scenes when I look at the school public number and brush the circle of friends, and I also saw some in the process of doing nucleic acid, so I created them, and now I have completed 8 works.
Affected by the epidemic, Li Wei cannot buy new leaves as raw materials through the Internet, and currently uses his own "inventory", most of which are brought from his home in Yunnan, and some have been preserved for three or four years.
Carving on these thin, brittle leaves will be abandoned if you are not careful, and the shape of the leaves also imposes certain limitations on his design. From an artistic point of view, this is the most imperfect set of works in the four years he has studied leaf carving. But in Li Wei's view, these works are the most perfect, because they are integrated with his good wishes.
Li Wei said: "Recently, I have also been volunteering to deliver meals to my classmates on my floor. Wearing protective clothing to go up and down the stairs to carry things back and forth, walking a few back and forth feels quite tired, not to mention the teachers who deliver supplies to us every day, volunteers, and medical workers on the front line of the fight against the epidemic, who are definitely much more tired than us. So I want to thank them in the way I like, and cheer on everyone. We are working together to bring the epidemic to an end quickly. ”
Li Wei said that in the near future, he will continue to create new works, and strive to hold a leaf sculpture exhibition in the school after the end of the epidemic, so as to commemorate his upcoming college career and leave some unique memories for people fighting the epidemic.
