On the afternoon of April 13, our county held a meeting on the deployment of the work of retired soldiers, other preferential care objects to establish files and cards, and apply for and issue preferential treatment permits. Liu Haiyu, deputy secretary of the county party committee and executive deputy head of the county party committee's leading group for veterans' affairs, attended the meeting and made a speech; Sun Aiwu, deputy county governor of the county government, director of the county public security bureau, and deputy head of the county party committee's leading group for veterans' affairs, presided over the meeting.
Liu Haiyu pointed out that the issuance of preferential treatment certificates for retired soldiers and other preferential care objects is an important measure to conscientiously implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's "making military personnel a respected profession in the whole society", which fully reflects the care and concern of the party committee and government for retired soldiers and preferential care objects. All levels and departments of the county should follow the unified arrangements and requirements of the state, provinces, and municipalities to the letter, earnestly strengthen organizational leadership, make overall arrangements for deployment, advance in a sound and orderly manner, and ensure the quality and effectiveness of the work of filing and setting up cards and applying for distribution. It is necessary to grasp the key links, accelerate the transformation of the results of the pilot township service stations, and make every effort to create a convenient, comfortable and enthusiastic service atmosphere for applying for preferential treatment certificates. It is necessary to reasonably arrange the order of application and distribution, make full use of holidays, and give priority to handling application matters for veterans and other preferential care recipients who go out to work. It is necessary to strengthen communication and cooperation, urge cooperative banks to provide quality services, and make the sense of gain, happiness and honor of veterans more sufficient.
The meeting conveyed the "Notice on Further Doing a Good Job in Applying for and Issuing Preferential Treatment Permits for Veterans and Other Preferential Care Recipients", and read out the "Work Plan for The Establishment of Cards for Veterans and Other Preferential Care Objects in Yanshan County" and the "Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Work of Establishing Cards for Veterans and Other Preferential Care Objects in Yanshan County".
The prefectural veterans affairs bureau signed an on-site contract with a cooperative bank.
After the meeting, the relevant staff of the County Veterans Affairs Bureau's Preferential Care and Praise Memorial Unit and the Service Center answered relevant policies on the spot and conducted training on key points of operation and technology.
Attending the meeting were township and town mayors, station chiefs of veterans' service stations, responsible comrades in charge of various departments directly under the county government, and principal responsible persons of the Yanshan County Branch of the Postal Savings Bank of China and the Yanshan Branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.
