One of the craziest things I've ever done.
One Saturday in the summer of 2017, my child Jianrui was attending university in Tianjin and used his scholarship to buy me and my family two discounted plane tickets for 200.
In the morning, we drove from Weihai to Yantai Penglai International Airport, and got on a plane to meet our sons at Beijing Capital International Airport.
Together, they toured Tiananmen Square in Beijing, went to Tsinghua University, and met the son of a comrade-in-arms at Peking University. Looked at several attractions.
At noon, he ate a hot pot with his children, took a plane back to Yantai Airport in the evening, and returned to Tianjin by high-speed rail. My family and I drove back to Weihai.
I felt like it was the craziest thing I had ever done, getting on a plane to Beijing to eat a hot pot and then flying back to Weihai.
