Writing for two consecutive nights until more than 5 a.m., and then revising during the day, Gui Xinghua often could not even press the mouse due to Parkinson's constantly trembling right hand. When the idea opened, the pot of boiled eggs was scorched, the red date soup was also boiled dry, and Gui Xinghua survived the creative period while nibbling on the steamed buns.
In just a few days, several versions of the recitation have appeared. Recitation artist Song Huaiqiang's Song Sheng Studio co-ordinator, famous artists Ding Jianhua, Cai Jinping, Wang Tao, and more than 10 recitation enthusiasts in the Pudong Chunfeng Step By Step Crossing the River Recitation Group recorded their own recitation versions of the poem.
