China's first global female pilot
In 2016, 44-year-old Wang Zheng flew a small single-engine plane alone and began an 18-day round-the-world flight. This Chinese girl, who seems to have completed her crazy dream, was not a professional pilot before. She switched the track of her life at the age of 37 and learned to fly from scratch.
In order to prepare for this round-the-world flight, Wang Scramble conducted a tour of the United States and accumulated certain experience for his round-the-world flight.
In 18 days, 40,000 kilometers, spanning more than 20 countries, 3 continents, and 2 oceans, Wang Zheng went all the way to the west and completed this round-the-world flight in 155 flight hours.
In fact, many people have challenged round-the-world flight before Wang Zheng, so most of the round-the-world flights will take the "east road", that is, flying from west to east, basically jumping islands, so that the safety is relatively large.
But Wang Zheng chose to fly west, and she wanted to see the depths of the ocean. She's talked about it in interviews, so if she doesn't fly around the world and fly in the middle of the ocean, she won't have any chance to experience it.
During this round-the-world flight, it was not smooth, during which Wang Zheng's plane had failed, and he also had to cross the thunderstorm area because of bad weather; in order to avoid the hurricane, Wang Zheng insisted on flying across the Atlantic for 29 hours without sleep.
Although this round-the-world flight is Wang Zheng's desire to break through his comfort zone once again, and at the same time realize his dream of flying around the world. But the little-known reason is that her father died before that.
After the death of his father, Wang Zheng was not only sad and unwilling, but more importantly, he understood that the world was impermanent, and leaving no regrets was the greatest happiness in life.
Resigned, sold a house, changed the runway of life at the age of 37, and re-pursued his dreams
Wang Zheng has been a particularly persevering person since she was a student, in order to be able to study her favorite advertising major, she once dropped out of school and taught herself related knowledge, and finally was admitted to Xiamen University.
After graduation, Wang Zheng became a "North Drifter". With her tenacity and excellent work, through more than ten years of persistence and hard work, she has been promoted from an ordinary staff to an international 4A advertising company's account director and deputy general manager of the business department.
At this time, Wang Zheng was 37 years old and could have taken his career to a higher level, but her husband planned to relocate the family to the United States because of his work.
At this time, Wang Zheng fell into confusion, because if she went to the United States, it meant that she would have to give up everything she had worked hard for more than ten years, and she did not know what she was going to do after going to the United States.
Perhaps, the twist of fate always comes unexpectedly. On an ordinary day, Wang Zheng went to a familiar café, but the customers in the store were surprisingly much more that day, and she had to sit at a table with others. The person sitting at the table with her was actually a Dassault Falcon pilot with more than ten years of rich experience in flying.
After encountering Wang Zheng, he often talked to Wang Zheng about his adventures in flight, talked about NASA's exploration of the universe, and talked about the thrilling plots in the fairy tale novel "The Little Prince".
These words deeply aroused Wang Zheng's childhood dream of flying buried in his heart, and it was after these few free talks that Wang Zheng made up his mind to learn to fly to the United States.
After starting to learn to fly, Wang Zheng relied on his love for flying, slept and forgot to eat, and studied hungrily, in the case of language barriers and knowledge blind spots, through his almost crazy learning, not only quickly got a private photo, but also continued to struggle on the road to professional pilots almost obsessively.
At present, more than 200 people in the world have completed round-the-world flights, of which 9 women fly alone, and Wang Zheng is the ninth.
Wang Zheng is currently a captain of American Airlines, the first Chinese woman to complete a single-engine piston engine flight around the world, the first Chinese to receive a full fixed-wing instructor license in the United States, and the first Chinese citizen to receive the chief instructor of the 141 Aviation School certified by the United States.
